November 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Donner60. I noticed that in this edit to Bed bug, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 03:26, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for using an edit summary when you restored the edit, which enabled me to determine the edit was valid change. Donner60 (talk) 03:37, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 14:28, 11 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand that I was block due to username indicates that the account represents a business that against policy and if I was unblocked I will focus on find dead link and recover it. Hope you can give me more opportuniy.

Accept reason:

Although you linked to a web site related to the username, which looked very much like one of the ways spammers attempt to use Wikipedia for promotional purposes, the change was in fact a perfectly constructive one, replacing a dead link with a link to a live copy of the same cited source, so, with the blocking administrator's agreement, I am unblocking you to allow a username change to the requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. I hope that from now on you can contribute without further problems, but please do be aware of the need to avoid anything which appears to be for promotional purposes.
