August 2014 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hassan-i Sabbah. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Favonian (talk) 14:38, 15 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

March 2015 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your recent talk page comments on User talk:Orangesaft were not added to the bottom of the page. New discussion page messages and topics should always be added to the bottom. Your message may have been moved by another user. In the future you can use the "New section" link in the top right. For more details see the talk page guidelines. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 14:48, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Indo-Aryan languages edit

These are spoken on the Indian sub-continent, why are you adding Greater Iran, which is not mentioned in the Indo-Aryan language article. Dougweller (talk) 14:50, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

And the current text is the EB, which does not mention Greater Iran either. You might want to read WP:NOR also. Dougweller (talk) 14:56, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

See under Iran etymology. Under Aryan Etymology. Check reference in Airyanem Vaejah. Indo-Aryan languages is listed under Indo-Iranian languages on its own page. The areas listed within are best summarized as Greater Iran and South Asia.

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Edit warring with nationalist/disruptive agenda edit

User does not care to discuss matters on the talk page.

Edit warring edit

I have reported your edit warring tendencies.

Regarding azeris edit

Iranian peoples refers to people who speak languages, azerbaijanis, and iranian azeris, while they used to be iranic speaking now speak a turkic language like the people of turkey and hence linguistically are grouped with them. There is already a section on the article about iranian peoples dealing with the matter that they are iranic but turkic speaking. You accuse me of not using the talk page when you keep reverting zoroaster to being persian on his article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scytsari (talkcontribs) 22:55, 20 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please review present citations and take it up with Old Azeri language, as it strongly disagrees with you. Also note that you acknowledged them as Iranic. The page Iranian peoples is about people. Iranian languages has its own page.

not disagreeing with you, just saying others might (and probably will) disagree since azeris tend to be grouped in alongside turks from turkey in the turkic family — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scytsari (talkcontribs) 19:40, 21 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Understood. However citations exist for controversial topics.

Wikiipedia edit

Regarding the post on my talk page:

  • When you post something on any talk page in Wikipedia sign it by typing ~~~~.
  • When you post a new topic on a user's talk page, post it at the bottom of the page. The best way to do that is to click on the new section tab at the top.
  • When someone reverts your edit with the edit summary "unsourced", it means you haven't supported your edit with a citation. You need to add a sourced citation. Read this policy which explains this: WP:V. Not all sources qualify to be used in Wikipedia. This policy explains which can be used: WP:RS.

I am not edit warring. In fact, I am the only one who followed the proper procedure. I presented a large amount of citations. Consistantly used the Talk page, and merely protected the consensus made long ago. If there is ever an example of Wikipedia choosing popular opinion over its own procedure of fact checking and rules, it would be here. Please see that I am not dishonest, and review the edit history and Talk page. Thank you.

November 2015 edit

Your recent editing history at Iranian peoples shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
