Image copyright problem with File:Boule et bill stamps.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Boule et bill stamps.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Little context in Portal:Bande Dessinée-Selected picture edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Portal:Bande Dessinée-Selected picture, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Portal:Bande Dessinée-Selected picture is very short providing little or no context to the reader. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Portal:Bande Dessinée-Selected picture, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. RE: Links to portals edit

Thanks for welcoming me to the English Wikipedia. I was wondering why does that particular portal box look different. Although I stated in the edit summary that I think it looks better that way, another main reason why I changed it is because I feel it is important to unify the appearance of all portal boxes in all articles, and also per Wikipedia:Layout. By the way, I edit the German Wikipedia and I like more their way of doing it, where links to portal are presented as simple internal links in the "See also" section, but I also think the French presentation makes sense. Why don't you open a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Layout? Mxipp (talk) 17:33, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:G-20 London summit logo.gif edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:G-20 London summit logo.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — neuro(talk)(review) 23:02, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Superga logo.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Superga logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 01:17, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

History of economic thought edit

Bonjour Paaah!

Pah777 (talk) 17:27, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Quick TransLation edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Quick TransLation, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

non-notable addon

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. License tagging for File:Quick TransLation logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Quick TransLation logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Boule et bill stamps.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Boule et bill stamps.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image which is not under a free license or in the public domain and it has not been used in any article for more than seven days.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 18:59, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Boule et bill stamps.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Boule et bill stamps.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 19:00, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
