Dark Orbit

edit

Hi - this article is unlikely to survive very long.

1 - We don't have articles consisting of a link to another article on another wiki 2 - Even if you reproduced the info here, it would get nuked as there's no information as to why this particular browser game is notable in it's own right. See WP:NOTABILITY, WP:RS and WP:VERIFY. Exxolon (talk) 13:24, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Dark Orbit, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Help me ( uses of templates ) redirects & disambiguation !

edit

{{helpme}} It's the 1st time I'm going to use the help_me_TEMPLATE.

  • I have got a problem, too, with another template or about right/wrong wiki editing. I was going to write at your TALK , but I use this thanks to you, instead.
  • When I have had problems with wiki editing, or doubts I have used one or two times the "CAFE". Now: two more: this template, or write the question at your talk page. My question is: Which of the two with you do you prefer ? I should like the better for you.
  • I don't understand the work of the template: help & I my thought is: if is better to leave you a note, too !

the problem

edit

I'm trying to make the article Sylvan, a better one. Because I see there a thing I don't like. I know what to do, but I don't know a lot of wiki editing, and I have problems with using a template used there. If you know it ...?

  • To change this (at the 1st line of the article): instead of .
  • Silvan (disambiguation) isn't an article, it's only a redirect page to Silvan.

When I write, instead the original one, this:

there's no problem ! But I should like the template permits to show a different name that the internal link to go. i.e. similar to write this internal link: Silvan (disambiguation), it's easy in this way but after reading the help pages about templates I cannot (I cannot do that with the lot of them you can see here ).

Other question (maybe is better), about this article, and its couple,

  • is to delete the redirection from: Silvan (disambiguation) to Silvan -- that is a disambiguation page --.
  • Then the wiki editor (we) can rename: Silvan, with the other name Silvan (disambiguation), previously deleted.
  • So the change I want to do at the 1st line (at the template "otheruses") will be unnecesary.

Another one is the two words: sylvan & silvan. They are the same thing ( you can see this idea (words), at the beginning of both articles ).

A short question

edit

One more, very different: about an abreviation that you can see at the historial. They are at the same place: one is easy m for minor edit , that the wikipedian MARKs. I don't know the meaning of the other: N, (I remember), and I thought like something made wrong by me, i.e: when I say something is minor edit and it isn't. I don't know if it's necessary for me to know it now ! Thanks !

  • And, finishing: two or three things: yesterday I was looking at a video at Sydney (June'08), when the large meeting at Australia with the Pope Bº XVI , and so on. I want to look after more at that, and that at Madrid (*.es), in three years since that date. Second: I have a friend living there ( not at Sydney but at Perth, ... ). I haven't been there, but I want ¿...one day ?. And the third is about a subject I read you work, here at wikipedia: medicine & medical ones. I should like two know more about. Myself, many years ago studied it. I finished when internet was born at the world & a little later at Spain. I dont know if this is a good way to communicate, so many different things to you, but ¡ Gracias (thanks) ! --PLA y Grande Covián (talk) 22:38, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Not sure about the first one. N means a new page. As for the rest, I have no idea what you're asking about. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 22:43, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • I am going to ditto TenPoundHammer. Do you think you could explain a little bit more and reactivate the helpme tag? Thanks :) NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 22:49, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

ES.wikipedia.org (Українська & Воєводина, Vojvodina, Voivodina (¿?) Мови)

edit
  • yo lo he escrito: http://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Обговорення:Воєводина
  • I've written it at the uk.wikipedia.org, but it's about one and the six ¿7? languages of (Vojvodina). Where (Voivodina (at Spanish wikipedia)), I've seen a user took out your lang;
I don't know if it's an important subject for you:
    Воєводина, Vojvodina, Voivodina.

This is the subject: how many languages are at Vojvodina? And: May be: Українська language, but ... Is Українська lang oficial at Vojvodina?

Help on the name of a man -- cf. disambiguation: (Richard) Bentley

edit

{{helpme}}

--PLA y Grande Covián (talk) 14:45, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry that this has taken a while to respond to, but the problem is, several of us have had a look and nobody can quite work out what you mean. Could you please, therefore, give a bit more info - and put the helpme back again when you do? Thanks,  Chzz  ►  20:01, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thank you'cause your feedback! Then I must start from the begining, and write few words'cause I wrote a lot there.
When I did those things, that maybe look like with no order. I wrote them to show a broad perspective of the subject I named: my research about: The librarian, Dr. Bentley, the man who saved the Codex Alexandrinus from a fire.
I started at Bentley (disambiguation), and I read a comment & I wrote more at Talk:Bentley (disambiguation)
Then at my talk I wrote a reference to that Talk:Bentley (disambiguation) to write the {{helpme}} template'cause it's the method was good to find the people to continue that research, it's only this what I look for:
Maybe I malused the {{helpme}} template, I don't know. I mean that I don't know the right (not wrong) action I must do to take attention to : Who is ..., The librarian, Dr. Bentley, ...that saved from fire the Codex Alexandrinus.
Finally, you know that Richard Bentley was the question when Bentley (disambiguation) because at its discussion, User:Aramgar signed on 4 June 2007 (19:21) : Richard Bentley is the "Dr. Bentley, the librarian who saved the Codex Alexandrinus from the fire at the Cotton Library in 1731.", before my text.
Here and now, I must stop (today) !.
It has been very important for me your feedback ( your first help ). Excuse me this has taken a while'cause when I read it was late at night.
PS. I think is better all the discuss. at one place, this is why I leave it here.
Thank you, again! --PLA y Grande Covián (talk) 09:43, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I see.
The correct place to discuss this is Talk:Richard Bentley.
Create a new section there, and explain your idea, giving references.
To get more people to discuss it, you could add messages on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Philosophy and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography, asking people to look at your discussion, with a link to [[Talk:Richard Bentley]]. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  16:02, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

a question'bout music, i.e Rhythm and blues (R&B) & more precisely Smooth R&B

edit

It is about this subject Wikipedia:WikiProject_Disambiguation/Fixing_links At the article Rhythm and blues at its (info)box, you can see: item: Subgenres, with Contemporary R&B, plus the [disambiguation needed] Smooth R&B.

  • I do this (using {{helpme}}) but I don't know if this way is good (or is there another better) for attracting attention of anyboby with the needful knowledge about (types of music / classification). I don't. I only wanted to colaborate with Wikipedia:WikiProject_Disambiguation/Fixing_links.

You can see, Smooth R&B was marked, like [disambiguation needed]. I think it was'cause at the disambigation page there're two options of Smooth R&B:

Smooth jazz
Slow jam

This is the job to do there ( Smooth R&B ), but I don't know to do it. Do you ?. Is there another better way, to do this (to get the same) ?.

I don't know about using Wikipedia:Village_pump.
I think the {{helpme}}is only to use at my talk page, not at the Talk:Rhythm and blues page.
The Smooth R&B page was written by User:Roadstaa / User_talk:Roadstaa
So, first, I thought to contact him/her but I see few info there ( was active only during some time at 2008 ).

Thank you for reading. I stop & Do it, if u know'bout that music! --PLA y Grande Covián (talk) 03:29, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
