Elite Muslim women and the Mongol Empire

edit

Hi @P.B.2026., Thanks for drafting up this piece on women and the Mongol Empire. Unfortunately, this draft reads a lot like an essay rather than an encyclopedic entry, and it's been moved back your sandbox page. You have to keep in mind, Wikipedia is not a place to publish ideas or conclusions about a topic. That’s considered “original research,” and is not allowed on Wikipedia. This means your writing for Wikipedia will summarize what other people/sources have said about a topic, so that a Wikipedia reader can get an overview of the current thoughts and understanding of that topic. The goal is to provide a neutral, fact based summary of the topic at hand, not to persuade the readers of any thoughts or ideas you may have come up with.

Inline citations: Everything you add to Wikipedia needs to be tied directly to a reliable source. After the statement, there should be a source. You can use a single source to support several sentences in a row, if it supports everything you say in those sentences, but you need to have at least one source per paragraph, and you shouldn't have any text after the final reference in a paragraph (because that content is effectively unsourced). If you need a refresher on how to add citations, please consult this training module. Please address these concerns in your sandbox page. The page does not need to be live for you to receive a grade on the work. If you have questions, feel free to reach out by giving me a ping. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 23:35, 18 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
