Divisor

Just in case there is a possible misunderstanding: I didn't add a statement that "Cartier divisors are better"; I simply moved the sentences buried in the main text to the lede. I myself don't have any particular opinion as to which one is "better". (In fact, it's probably better to avoid taking sides altogether.) -- Taku (talk) 19:41, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I saw that you had only moved that statement, not introduced it. I had never noticed it in the article until now, but once I did I knew it needed to be removed. I hope you're not offended; the work you've been doing on the article is good. Ozob (talk) 20:09, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks + get to know

Thank you for the heads-up on notation, it will be worth keeping in mind...

I was needing some contact in order to advance some ideas for articles on Wikipedia, notably making the article on the Hessian matrix a part of the Calculus series. This is with WikiProject Mathematics I suppose? Hayazin (talk) 22:49, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Mathematics‎

Thanks for the comments on the Edit Summary. The greatest difficulty in doing these improvements has been getting any feedback. You can see my postings on the various talk pages. At the moment the text is stored at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Mathematics‎/temp while I have still got the longer working text (with options ) at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Mathematics‎/sandbox. I thought the text I submitted was ready for main space where it would be exposed to editors with more expertise, but you say it still suffers from notes and other weaknesses. So lets use that as the starting point.

Could you have a look at the /tmp version and make the changes needed (When you have time or a space on you todo list). It would be helpful to know where I am barking up the wrong tree. I will cross post to Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Mathematics to allow (entice) other experts to join in. -- Clem Rutter (talk) 07:59, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 18

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Algebraic K-theory, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Isotopy and Kenneth Brown. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
