Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Hapak logo.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:Hapak logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Disclosure of websites edit

I believe you have overlooked the requirement in WP:PAID to disclose the websites at which you solicit work and advertise services, in your case Wiki-Mentor:

"Paid editors must also provide links on their Wikipedia user page to all active accounts at websites where they advertise, solicit or obtain paid Wikipedia-editing services. If such an account is deleted or removed, any corresponding links on the Wikipedia user page must remain visible for at least one week.[3] Additionally, paid editors must provide links to the user page(s) of their Wikipedia account(s) on each website on which they advertise, solicit or obtain paid editing services, as well as in direct communications with each client and potential client (such as through email). If the paid editor has used or controlled more than one Wikipedia account, each account must be disclosed.[4]" Fences&Windows 21:00, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Ovedc/Ossi Yeto edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Ovedc/Ossi Yeto, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. June 2021 edit

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text Your proposed new username at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

 • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
 • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
 • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text Your reason here at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hello! I think the block was done by mistake:

 • User Jimfbleak made the block immediately at the same time-signutrue (13:42, 6 June 2021) with another user-block (see: here), maybe without checking my page.
 • My user name is Ovedc, for 13 productive years at wikipedia, without any problems. It is my Hebrew name: Oved Cohen! And it has no marketing meaning.
 • I do get paid for some edits, but clearly state it in my user-page and in the Talk-pages, accordingly to Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
 • Some drafts are in my user-space and not meant to be shown, only for temporary reasons, until moving them to the main space.
 • Of course, if I made any mistake, unintentionally, please let me know, and I will immediately correct it and learn from it, to the future.
 • I contributed more then 300,000 edits to Wikipedia (mainly in the Hebrew Wikipedia) and when I will be unblocked, I will continue with useful contributions, according to the procedures.

I am asking you to un-block my user, please. Thanks - Ovedc (talk) 11:43, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Comment:

 • I do get paid for some edits... Some? I counted 42 paid declarations on your user page.
 • Some drafts are in my user-space and not meant to be shown But that can be seen, including the nakedly promotional material you copied-and-pasted from a company website -- a clear copyright violation.
 • I also don't see the company name or representative of your copyright violation on your list of paid declarations on your user page. Are there others? Have you declared everything? --Calton | Talk 04:05, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Dear Calton, Thank you for your reply, I appreciate that! I didn't know that the Paid-contribution disclosure is mandatory on drafts that are in my user-space and not publish as articles, also about copying from their website. I always remove copyright violation from drafts before moving the article to the main space and declare COI! It is consider right at the Hebrew Wikipedia! If it is wrong here, I will ask to remove them and apologize for that and will not do it again. Please let me know, and I will remove all violations from my drafts. Thanks - Ovedc (talk) 04:20, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I didn't know that the Paid-contribution disclosure is mandatory on drafts....
You're being paid to edit on behalf of a client, and it makes no difference whether you're doing so in Main space, Draft space, or any other space on Wikipedia. This is not even slightly difficult.
I always remove copyright violation from drafts before moving the article...
You shouldn't have had copyright violations in drafts or anywhere else in the first place, and fiddling with copied material isn't how it's done.
I contributed more then [sic] 300,000 edits to Wikipedia (mainly in the Hebrew Wikipedia)'
Correction: ALMOST ALL of your edits are to Hebrew Wikipedia: 316,513 out of a total 318,171, with 1,472 here. What you do on Hebrew Wikipedia is irrelevant; what you do on English Wikipedia is what counts. --Calton | Talk 05:14, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Calton, thanks. Ovedc, you didn't declare this COI as required, and looking at your user page, you can hardly claim ignorance. Since I blocked you, I'll leave it to an uninvolved admin to consider your block Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:05, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! As I said, I really didn't know that the procedures apply to the user-space. If I would have known, I wouldn't do this. I did this with no intension to do any harm. Please let me correct this, and I will not do it again. I will be very thankful if you will delete my user-drafts, as follow, and let me continue to make useful contributions.
Please delete these drafts at my user space: , User:Ovedc/Agricultiva , Rubin , Korngreen , User:Ovedc/aMoon , Gilhar , User:Ovedc/Become , Wurtman , Boers , Education , User:Ovedc/Kora , Sachs , Pharma , User:Ovedc/Mine , Bengal , User:Ovedc/Owini , User:Ovedc/sandbox , User:Ovedc/sandbox2 , User:Ovedc/sandbox3 , User:Ovedc/sandbox4 , User:Ovedc/sandbox5 , User:Ovedc/sandbox6 , User:Ovedc/sandbox7 , User:Ovedc/sandbox8 , College , Miron-Shatz , Faculty of Architecture , Ullmann , Malach
Thanks- Ovedc (talk) 12:57, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I won't do the unblocking myself, because Oved is my friend in real life and I guess it's a bit of a COI.
That said, having known Oved online and offline for more than ten years, I am quite certain that his intentions were good and that it was an unintentional policy violation.
I recommend unblocking. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 16:24, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Ovedc/Geodata edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Ovedc/Geodata requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.gis-geodata.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Calton | Talk 05:00, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Swapping out "it" for "we" doesn't disguise the copying, especially when you don't adjust the grammar ("It utilize state-of-the-art..."). --Calton | Talk 05:02, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

COI on Birthright. Please consider making edit requests on the talk page instead of directly editing the article edit

  Hello, Ovedc. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Birthright Israel, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

 • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
 • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the request edit template);
 • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
 • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
 • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Freelance-frank (talk) 02:30, 4 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
