The article Ottawa Renegades all time records and statistics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wikipedia is not an excessive listing of statistics.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Singularity42 (talk) 20:25, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Your username
editConcerns about your username violating the conflict of interest and username policies have been raised. Do you have any formal connection to the team, or are you just a fan? It would make a difference in how we respond. Daniel Case (talk) 16:11, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Stephen Jordan (football player). The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:11, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Mike Gray (Canadian football). Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:11, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Merl Code likewise lacks a reliable source. While I'm all for adding the biographies of former CFL players to the article, they need to meet the same standards for sourcing as any other article. —C.Fred (talk) 15:20, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Merl Code. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. See WP:NPOV. Disambiguation link notification
editHi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Jack Holden
editHey, I've moved the page to a different name. Your edit summary on Jack Holden grabbed my attention. To remind you - You say he "ceased to exist" - considering he is a work of fiction and that means will always exist, that wasn't a reason to move it. Wbhy does the fact it is an Australian soap opera make a difference? You also said it could have been used for a BLP - Well did you get a look at the other articles? The fictional character is more notable than them.RaintheOne BAM 16:34, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

birth date
editWhen you add a birth date in an infobox, could you not do it as, September 22, 1970, but do it as {{birth date and age|1970|09|22}}
In addition to it automatically calculating the age of the person, it makes it nicer for bots to retrieve the data and put it into databases. Bgwhite (talk) 21:40, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia Help Survey
editHi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.
Thank you for your time,

editHi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Jimmy Edwards (American football) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in 1927 in Canadian football, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. PureRED (talk) 01:18, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hey, just for reference, the Ottawa Football Cubs are all considered one entity, as per the wishes of the Redblacks. I'll try to find the reference for where I saw that. Do you want to discuss your changes on the talk page rather than deleting everything? Cmm3 (talk) 20:26, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- Under the 2017 CFL Facts, Figures and Records, [1], page 155, note 5: "For historical record purposes, the Ottawa Football Clubs are considered to be a single entity with two intervals of non-participation (1997-2001 & 2006-2013). Ottawa have been known as: Ottawa Football Club 1876 to 1898, Ottawa Rough Riders 1899 to 1925, Ottawa Senators 1926 to 1930, Ottawa Rough Riders 1931 to 1996, Ottawa Renegades (2002 to 2005). The current member of the CFL is the Ottawa Redblacks (2014-present)." I'll try to find more, since it's good to cite multiple sources. Cmm3 (talk) 20:35, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not bullying you; we happened to be creating articles at the same time. I have references to back my claims and you do not. There is no need for name calling here and this isn't a competition. Wikipedia is all about community collaboration. And I will thank you for your contributions, anything that grows the CFL is great, in my opinion. Cmm3 (talk) 00:33, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
- I'm deleting your swearing on my talk page. If you can't have a civilized discussion, then leave me alone. And it was User:WikiOriginal-9 that was interrupting your edits, not me, so direct your frustrations elsewhere. Cmm3 (talk) 00:56, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
