I wasn't aware of that. But did you have to be so rude as to say "what a complete mess it was". All you had to do is say this article exists and is an FA!! and say you have redirected it. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:00, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

If I could translate from Estonian I would produce higher quality stubs. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:15, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes I agree. Believe me if I could I would try to translate many articles form estonian wikipedia "eesti". I started Ugala earlier. There are thousands of estonian articles missing aren't there ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:23, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps I;d best stick to geography which doesn't require translation. I uploaded images to the commons from estonian wikipedia and added a locator and images to articles like Kohtla-Järve which I feel are an improvement ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:34, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Could you try to create an article on the Tallinna Linnateater from Estonian wikipedia? ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 12:44, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. It is a shame that there isn't much activity given the thousands of articles that need translation, but even if there was an online estonian translation site I could try to work out what certain words are and try to do something. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 14:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Map

edit

Hello and thank you for the comment! I do think it's useful and I would love to add it to the map. More informations is always better. However, I need some sort of visual reference - do you have/know/can get any maps that could guide me? You can send it to me via email (attach gmail to my username). Thanks, Renata (talk) 21:56, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I added some troop movements in Latvia to this map. Can you look it over and see if it is accurate/makes sense. Thanks! Renata (talk) 02:19, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

the csd tag

edit

Sorry I didn't notify you Oth, normally I'd use twinkle for that, but the image was stored on commons so I had to tag it manually and I simply forgot to drop you a message. That thing (whatever it is) might be old enough, the graphical image, however, is not. Now as for your question, I'd suggest {{PD-self}}, but you are free to upload it under any license compatible with commons, unless the pic/screenshot content is already copyrghted (newspaper, cd cover, logo etc.) Don't want to come across as an ass here, but all copyvios are eventually deleted anyway so I believe it's easier to get rid of them sooner rather than later. List of most common surnames

edit

FYI: User_talk:Martintg#List_of_most_common_surnames --Russavia Dialogue 12:52, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

My apologies to you Oth on this. It appears that I only read the edit summary, assuming that you simply reverted the information. After Martintg's edit, I found that article on the ee website, it took me all of 25 seconds to do in google. As one can plainly see if they read the RIA Novosti article, that they referenced the ee news source. The comment of RIA Novosti's POV is not on I don't believe, for if the ee article could not be found, this would not negate the reliable nature of RIA Novosti. In the meantime, now there is an up-to-date source available for the top 500 names in Estonia, which would never have been found if it weren't for my seeing the RIA Novosti source (which does check out with their figures on the number of people with surnames). Again, my apologies, I moved a bit too quickly, it is just the harrassing nature of the stalking of my edits by Martintg has gone too far, and I didn't assume good faith with your edit because I didn't look at the entire thing. You'll notice that I self-reverted, so no need to go and undo it. --Russavia Dialogue 13:27, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
But Oth, I do take issue to your separation of Estonian and Russian names in the list. We don't see Mexican names separated from the US list. We don't see Vietnamese names (Nguyen) separated in the Australian list. We don't see Dutch and French separated in Belgium. We don't see Azeri names separated in Georgia. By separating the names, you are showing the "divide" in Estonia, and it unless there is a reliable source to state it, we don't know how many of the Ivanov's hold Estonian citizenship and how many don't. For all we know 95% of them do. I would ask that you revert it back so that it is one list as per all the other entries in the list. Separating is very divisive. --Russavia Dialogue 20:29, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
