Welcome!

Hello, Orry Verducci, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Wikiacc (talk) 17:42, July 26, 2005 (UTC)

Welcome! edit

Hi, Orry Verducci, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.

Additional tips edit

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

Happy Wiki-ing.

Orry excuse me but I've to say that your Disney Channel Logo is inappropriate for Wikipedia.. Now all the sites have the new logo given on all Wiki DC Articles.. (sky.com, www.disneychannel.fr, www.directv.com).. is the new design logo used everywhere, then this logo is the official, now on all sponsorize stuff there's it.. I think isn't right that on Wiki should be a recreation logo, that then isn't used anymore... All Wiki TV channels description have the right logo, why Disney Channel which is an important brand not? WeekenderRulez

Orry excuse me, but it has been changed... the logo here in Europe for some sponsorization has always been with an intern background blue... go here (waltdsineytelevision.com) go on the press of DC UK, and you can see that since September they use a new logo for this type of sponsorizations (with just a blue 3D outline), as well as a new one for Playhouse Disney in the country which is present as a channel in esternal sponsorization only.. of course this logo doesn't appear on promos, but on Internet and on press is used it, so this has became an important source and I think is important having an original logo and not a recreation (I think also there are differencies between your recreation and the true one, and having the 3D is important), no offence of course, but I think so WeekenderRulez

Thank you for letting me know, it won't happen in the future. I didn't know you uploaded the image as someone posted it under their name on the abc1uk forum (before the site went down) using imageshack. Samaster1991 17:49, 12 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposal for a UK radio stations task force edit

Hi there.

I noticed you are part of the radio stations WikiProject but wish to contribute to UK radio station articles only. I have made a proposal to start a UK radio stations task force which would be able to work more effectively with UK radio station articles whilst still being a part of the main radio stations WikiProject.

Full discussion and opinions are being sort here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Radio Stations#Proposal: UK Radio stations task force.

Thanks. --tgheretford (talk) 15:53, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

New proposal: UK radio and radio stations task force edit

Hi there.

I am discussing a revised idea of starting a task force, part of WikiProject Radio which covers the radio industry, as well as the radio stations of the United Kingdom (in contrast to the original idea to just cover UK radio stations). Discussion on the proposal is here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Radio Stations#New proposal: UK radio and radio stations task force. Look forward to hearing your views and potential interest the revised task force. Thank you. --tgheretford (talk) 09:49, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

In response to consensus, the task force has been created and is now running at WP:RADIO/UK. Please feel free to join and help UK radio get a better presence in Wikipedia. --tgheretford (talk) 20:50, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Q103.jpg edit

Image copyright problem with Image:Sky EPG.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Sky EPG.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
