Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Originale! I am Res2216firestar and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! res2216firestar 20:00, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

November 2008 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags without justification. Please follow the procedures instead. They are listed in the speedy deletion window in the Barbara Rosenthal article. Removal of the speedy deletion tag without justification is considered to be vandalism. Thanks. -- Gmatsuda (talk) 23:53, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Barbara Rosenthal. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. -- Gmatsuda (talk) 20:18, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Formatting citations (and the text) edit

Read Wikipedia:CITE#Links and ID numbers and Wikipedia:How to edit a page! Those should help with many of your markup problems. This is computer programming, albeit at a highly simplified level; sometimes you have to buckle down and RTFM :) . --Orange Mike | Talk 03:05, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I also moved your draft to a sandbox, which will be found at User:Originale/Rosenthal sandbox. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:07, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Help edit

About your request for help with Barbara Rosenthal, Here's what I notice about it, and what I would recommend.

  • The orphan tag cannot be taken off until at least a few relevant articles link to it.
  • The awards, exhibitions, and teaching positions sections need more references.
  • I would remove some unnecessary detail such as this.
  • The promotional bits have gotten better, but the tone and bits like the Bill Gates reference are still there.
  • Finally, I would focus more on discussing her work than on major achievements.

If you have any more questions or need additional help, let me know.--Res2216firestar 23:18, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

    • I know Barbara's work. "Dadabase" is collection of works in MoMA's collection of Dada (the art movement) works of which she is an important part. "Dada" not "Data" as in information. Still needs work though. Artintegrated (talk) 05:22, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
