Global edit

@Opencooper: It would be cool to have this addon working in other projects as well. I installed it globally on meta, but currently it only works at en.wiki. ~nmaia d 11:01, 23 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

@NMaia:   Done Should be working crosswiki now. All I had to do was not be lazy and assume it would only be used on enwiki, haha. Thanks again for reporting oversights like these! Opencooper (talk) 03:29, 24 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Support for Structured Discussions? edit

@Opencooper: Maybe this would add too much complexity, but it'd be cool to see support for Structured Discussions as well, as it is extensively used in Wikidata. For instance, on this page. ~nmaia d 22:20, 12 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

@NMaia: This should be technically possible. I don't have time right now for programming, but I'll try to work on this next week. Opencooper (talk) 06:38, 15 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Resolve redirects edit

@Opencooper: I think the script should resolve redirects. See mw:API:Query#Resolving redirects. Nardog (talk) 21:58, 24 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Nardog:   Partly done The script should now resolve redirects on the talk page. (Example) However, there are two cases where this might not work as you'd expect. First, if the redirect has its own talk with discussions (very common when topics are merged). And second, when the talk page doesn't exist.) Please let me know if that is satisfactory. Also, thanks for the API link; making someone's work easier is always appreciated :) Opencooper (talk) 22:56, 24 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much for such a quick fix. I find both scenarios you mentioned unlikely: if you're viewing a redirect and its talk page still exists, it correctly parses the talk page that's left behind; and redirects to non-existent pages are routinely deleted under WP:G8. Sure thing, I'm always open to suggestions, and I often overlook use cases that I don't need for myself. Glad it's fine then. Happy editing. Opencooper (talk) 07:21, 25 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
