Speedy deletion nomination of BoBoiBoy (character)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BoBoiBoy (character) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://boboiboy.wikia.com/wiki/BoBoiBoy_(Character). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. –Davey2010Talk 13:35, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Open Source 2.0. I have declined the above nomination by Davey2010 (whose patrolling is greatly appreciated!), even though the page is what I would term "fancruft", and its content needs lots of work to make it resemble an encyclopedia article, if suitable for inclusion at all. In this case, the source you ripped the content from is licensed under a suitably-free copyright license for use here, though I say ripped because it requires that you provide attribution to its authors, and disclose the license, neither of which you did. I am taking care of that serious problem.

The fact that the content is not subject to CSD G12 in no way relieves you of the obligation to comply with copyright. Do not do this again. We take copyright obligations very seriously here.

You will see that I have added edit summaries providing copyright attribution to the copyleft licensed source, and added a fully filled out {{Wikia content}} template to the references.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 17:27, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ah sorry about that Fuhghettaboutit I had no idea about the Wikia licence nor did I have any idea it was even related to Jimmy, I just obviously assumed it was all copyrighted etc etc so thanks for declining it, Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 17:47, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Other wiki's content

edit

Hey, just letting you know why the page was deleted.

Ultimately this was something that one group of people came up with one day, probably just to have a bit of fun. While the idea as a concept exists, something does not become automatically notable because it exists. (WP:ITEXISTS) I also saw a discussion here where you told Yintan that the Wikia administrator would be adding Closing Logos to Wikipedia. I couldn't tell if you were saying that you wanted to host Closing Logo wikia content on Wikipedia or if you were going to try to add more general content from the wikia to Wikipedia. Either way, neither of those things belong on Wikipedia for a few reasons. The first is that Wikipedia should not be used in the same way that you use a wikia, meaning that you shouldn't try to add every entry from say, the Closing Logos entry. The second reason is that all entries must pass notability guidelines and I don't see where Closing Logos is notable enough to be mentioned on Wikipedia. Notability is something that must be taken into consideration when you create any article and you need to make sure that something passes WP:GNG, even if you personally think that it should have an article. I also need to mention that something is not automatically notable because it is associated with notable topics. For example, a TV show is notable but this doesn't mean that every single character or monster on that show is independently notable.

I get the impression that you might be very young, so I would highly recommend that you read over WP:YOUNG and try to consult the WP:TEAHOUSE to see if a specific edit or article is appropriate for Wikipedia. Also, please do not put template messages on someone's page until you are fully aware of what that template means and how - and when - it should be used. You placed welcome templates on users' pages, at least one of which was on the page of an experienced Wikipedia editor, which gave off the impression that you weren't familiar with how they should be used.

Even if you mean well, stuff like this (creating article for non-notable topics, adding templates incorrectly) can be seen as a bit disruptive. Please be careful and make sure that you use the Teahouse! Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:41, 16 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Don LaFontaine. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. CherylHew 04:44, 17 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Abuse of multiple accounts / IP addresses / editing while logged out

edit

It has been found that you have been using one or more accounts abusively or have edited logged out to avoid scrutiny. Please review the policy on acceptable alternate accounts. In short, alternate accounts or people to support you should not be used for the purposes of deceiving others into seeing more support for your position. Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bambifan101, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Another serious plans brewing to Open Source 2.0.

One of these are so unexpectedly rubbish. Many peoples getting upset due to elsewhere edit warring and copyrights. Many plans had been coincidentally unknown for this.

Here are some lists that copyright infringes you:

1. Do not copy this copyrighters.

2. Only owners should picture these via camera, phone or smartphone

3. Samples of these can copy through commons:Upload.

4. Often too much of these will block from editing.

Unfortunately, it had been exists this Telco Productions Inc. event will be deleted and had GNG rated which had been decided.

Another one is Luxo Jr. who has been luckily patrolled to this one. Due to Reverted, it had been need some of information had been deleted. Which had been arguably perspective? Had any situations from WP:ITEXISTS.

In some cases, the Incident and Vandalism talk page will get some of these if any problems.

According to Fughetaboutit, the scenario of these gets sabotage of encyclopedia and will get reverted because of patroling is greatly appreciated.

If there is any attackers who vandalize this, tell your administrators of them.

Uncommonly, they had been coincidentally perspected this article.

Some inappropriate contents will be reverted from administrators.

If you had any troubles, see WP:YFA. Open Source 2.0 check me 21:56, 30 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
