Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Do you have your page text saved? edit

The "GAY" word is setting it off and there's no way to remove that from the filter or work around it. But if you create the page in userspace it will be less strictly filtered. It would also be a good idea to create it in userspace since it doesn't look much different than the old version to me and I wouldn't want you to go to all that work only to have the page deleted again. A good place to create the page might be User:Omrigilan/IZW or something like that (just make sure it has User:Omrigilan/ at the beginning). Soap 03:56, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

User:Omrigilan/IZW edit

I'm confused: do you think that it's not yet been deleted? As you'll see if you go to User:Omrigilan/IZW, I deleted it three days ago. Please bear in mind that I'm sleepy and about to go to bed, so I probably misunderstood your original message — if so, please retell me and I'll do my best to understand what you say. I've done all that I can, and nobody in Wikipedia can do more — it still appears in search engine results because of web caching, which is controlled by the search websites, not by Wikipedia. I'm sorry — you'll just have to wait until they stop indexing it. Nyttend (talk) 22:44, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Scan0004 (2).jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Scan0004 (2).jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:172430 10150089876319422 512719421 6415711 2411593 o (2).jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:172430 10150089876319422 512719421 6415711 2411593 o (2).jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

File copyright problem with File:172430 10150089876319422 512719421 6415711 2411593 o (2).jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:172430 10150089876319422 512719421 6415711 2411593 o (2).jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 20:00, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Page0001 (2).jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Page0001 (2).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 20:02, 19 March 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:02, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
