Hi, thanks for your intention to improve Wikipedia's Middle-earth coverage. However, the summary of The Lord of the Rings is already very long - yes, I know it's spread over 3 articles, but it's also all-3-combined in the main article, so it's by Wiki standards an extremely long plot summary. Your edits added over 800 bytes which we can ill afford in such a place. I know people get very enthusiastic about the plot; if that applies to you, then consider that the articles are read by people who have not read the book (or seen the films) and who want a brief, simple overview and introduction. It will always be impossible to provide every detail - the book runs to a million words, we have a tiny fraction of that available. We can discuss any specific detail if you feel sure something extra is necessary, but basically it must be at the expense of something else so the overall length does not increase. The summaries have been read by many thousands of readers and editors, and on the whole people find them about right in both length and content, so any change will have to be considered very carefully. Hope this is all clear and comprehensible. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 12:37, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey! Got it, thanks for the explanation! I've gone through and it seems the largest single edit I made was to the Book II section of the Middle Earth page. Rather than adding too many specific details, this seemed to be more of an accuracy correction because the events mentioned were misordered in the timeline (eg. one event was mentioned as happening just before the protagonists left, which actually took place in the initial meeting). If the 800 byte addition is too much I'm happy to go through and rephrase some of my additions to make sure that the length doesn't change too much, and I do remember seeing a sentence or two by a previous editor which seemed to be quite minor details (eg. about Gimli's gift).
I did make a few additions which seemed important to the plot (Eye of Sauron & Galadriel's Ring), but I'm also happy to remove these if you feel it is too detailed. Omniscientia101 (talk) 13:01, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Bolt Global

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bolt Global, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PRAXIDICAE🌈 11:33, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Greenman, thank you for the review. To my best understanding the article was written from a neutral point of view, and primary sources were removed in accordance with a previous comment. The article contains a number of reliable secondary sources with non-trivial mentions of the company including, but not limited to, Yahoo Finance, Singapore Press Holdings, and the BBC. Information on the company is verifiable in sources such as the London Stock Exchange. Do these and the other sources suffice to meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline?
With regards to neutrality, could you provide examples of where neutrality can be improved? I will make the changes accordingly. Omniscientia101 (talk) 05:27, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Mako001, would you be able to help specify what the issue is and what patterns or sections in the article are causing said issue? I would appreciate a specific understanding of the problematic parts beyond the general NPOV feedback, as based on my current understanding, this fits the subject type, writing style and objectivity of similar wikipedia articles.
