Eden Park edit

Hi. I've reverted your edit because I suspect it copies a bit too much from the book. If this is not the case please let me know - SimonLyall (talk) 07:38, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Simon - thanks for getting in touch. I work at Eden Park and have been tasked with updating the Wiki page and keeping an eye on it generally. The chronology is from a book - written by the Eden Park historian - and the other small changes are just really one person's writing style as opposed to another's. I am completely new to this and appreciate your input. We are also planning on putting in some new photos. Just wanted to touch base to say hello. well there are a few things.
First you have to make sure there copyright is 100% okay and permission is given by the author to release the material under a copyright-license that is compatible with wikipedia.
2nd You have to make sure it goes well with the rest of the article and is referenced.
3rd You have to be careful that whatever else you add fits in with Wikipedia's Neutral Point of views ( See WP:NPOV ) policy. As an employee of Eden park you have a potential conflict of interest ( see WP:COI ), I noticed that in the other edit you made which was very positive towards Eden Park and isn't really appropriate for Wikipedia
4th However it is not all bad. As en employee you would have access to official documents to confirm/disprove information on the page and also you could potentially add photographs (under the right license) that could be used to illustrate it which might be hard for others to obtain - SimonLyall (talk) 06:55, 1 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi again Simon - appreciate your feedback thanks.Today I just put a couple of things into the present tense (or past) regarding the redevelopment. You have written it so well it didn't need any alteration as such. Thanks! Just so you know! cheers (Omahu (talk) 01:04, 2 July 2012 (UTC)) 01:02, 2 July 2012 (UTC))Reply
