Edit of Caliph Yazid I Birth Year

edit

Please discuss changes to biographical data in the Talk Page before making edits. It seems you have been advised before on this issue. Umayyad Caliph Yazid I was born (according to the chronicles of Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani and Ibn Al-Kathir in the year 26 Hijri, which converts to year 647 Anno Domini or Common Era). Year 645 AD / CE converts to 24 Hijri.

Yazid was born in 26 A.H. as Imam Ibn Al-Kathir wrote in Al-Bidayah Wa Al-Nihayah Vol 9, Pg No. 76 and Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani in Lisan Ul Mizan.

If you continue to make edits without first discussing it in the Talk Page, this can result in being blocked from making any further edits. There is a THREE EDIT revert rule of WP for vandalism. If the rest of the article says age 38, it is probably because it is being calculated in the Hijri lunar calendar. 26-64 Hijri = 38 years lunar. 647-683 CE = 36 years. I shall alter the age to the Julio-Gregorian system. --Flagrantedelicto (talk) 12:50, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
