Procedural decline since your account isn't directly blocked and you could use another IP. Since as a practical matter getting these IP proxy blocks lifted is almost impossible, I will give you a better option: go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow those instructions to request IP block exemption via email. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:47, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Olefinishad edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Olefinishad, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. July 2023 edit

Hello, Olefinishad. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. The page User:Olefinishad has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This article needs to be rewritten from scratch from reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not an outlet for promotion, advocacy, or advertising.

Information on content and common pitfalls to avoid can be located here and here, however be aware that this is not an exhaustive list. Pages can sometimes avoid these pitfalls and still be seen as an ad copy or unambiguously promotional, particularly if the editor appears to be a paid editor or has some other conflict of interest. Please review these policies, including the FAQ page on organizations to determine if this applies to you.

Common mistakes or beliefs about promotional editing center on the assumption that promotional editing only applies to promotion for commercial gain. Some tags or G11 nominations are met with confusion by creators, particularly if they spend much time reading or creating corporate documents, mission/vision statements, or similar copy for their organization. The frequent exposure to promotional tone may make it difficult to notice non-neutral phrases or styles, as the editor has grown accustomed to seeing it as everyday writing or speech. This can be difficult, but not impossible, to unlearn.

Another common assumption is that the prohibition against promotional editing applies only to businesses or organizations. Anything can be promoted, including a person, a non-commercial organization, a point of view, etc. and CV/resumé's are by their nature promotional.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see this page on citing sources and Wikipedia:Common sourcing mistakes (notability). This page has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{Reflist}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there. New article creation can be difficult, but the Article Wizard can help you. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems. You can ask for help at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk and on IRC chat Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Adventure is a useful tutorial.

New article creation can be difficult and frustrating. Sometimes it is better to first gain experience by fixing and helping maintain existing articles. Hello Olefinishad. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Olefinishad. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Olefinishad|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 17:09, 24 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

WP:PAID edit

means you must disclose if you are being paid to edit Wikipedia, by whom, and what articles. As Lectonar says, if anyone asks for money to edit Wikipedia, it is a scam. Please see Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Scam warning. Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 10:09, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

You need to follow the links in the deletion notice. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 10:10, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
If i follow this guideline, will i be able to publish my page that was speedily deleted? Olefinishad (talk) 10:33, 26 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
You must disclose, this is a Terms of Use legal requirement and not optional. You may contribute consistent with the conflict of interest policy and use Articles for creation to create and submit a draft article(not a page). You've also chosen to edit in a contentious area(see the blue notice above). You must limit yourself to summarizing what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about your company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Interviews, press releases, announcements of routine business activities, and brief mentions do not establish notability. We want sources with significant coverage that describe what they see as important/significant/influential about your company. The vast majority of companies do not merit articles, but if you truly feel yours does, this is how to proceed. Please read WP:BOSS and have your superiors read it too. 331dot (talk) 13:01, 26 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I have been blocked because Wikipedia considers I have submitted articles for promotion. I assure you all i have not violated Wikipedia policies knowingly. It just happened because according to my knowledge my articles were just to share information about the company. I wish you to please review my block. I assure you to not violate any Wikipedia policy. Please unblock me so that i can publish my articles. Olefinishad (talk) 06:23, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You failed to follow my guidance above and you have also failed to make the Terms of Use required paid editing disclosure. Now that you know Wikipedia is not a place to merely share information, what will you change about your editing? What topics do you want to edit about now that you know you won't be permitted, at this time, to edit about topics for which you have a conflict of interest? We will want to see an edit history of edits in other areas, to demonstrate your understanding of relelvant Wikipedia content guidelines before permitting you to indirectly contribute about your company or its products. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:01, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I fixed your unblock request for proper display, you forgot the brackets around it. 331dot (talk) 08:57, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
