Proposed deletion of Rainer H. Straub edit

The article Rainer H. Straub has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. GƒoleyFour— 16:46, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Rainer H. Straub edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rainer H. Straub requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 17:03, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removing Speedy at Rainer H. Straub edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Rainer H. Straub, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:18, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Rainer H. Straub. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:29, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copyright edit

As it says above, you need to read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you want to recreate your autobiography, you should read Wikipedia:Autobiography and WP:ACADMIC. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 18:34, 6 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

advice edit

I saw this, and I've taken a look at this, as an admin who frequently work in the subject area. Please check WP:PROF fort he criteria.Judging by the citation record of Scopus, I have some doubts that an article would be possible on this stage on the justification of being an authority of the subject. I don't really see how to justify it as an academic administrator either. It should not have been a speedy deletion, probably, but I still don't see there can be an article. I do not want to discourage you, but to urge you to instead write a proper article about the topics you know about whcih we have not yet covered, or to improve some of our existing articles. Most of our existing articles need considerable improvement. DGG ( talk ) 07:24, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
