I really appreciate that you have something to offer to the Adrian Royle article. The information you are adding might be perfectly accurate. The problem is, here on wikipedia, they demand sourcing. I posted what I could find from references on-line. Please find references that support what you know. If you are Adrian or know him, perhaps you can find articles in the local paper that document what you are posting. And please post more about him--just support it. If you need my assistance in this, please write.Trackinfo (talk) 22:29, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Firstly, I'm honored. It was amazingly fast that you picked up that I had started an article about you. Wikipedia is a difficult place to make information survive. There is a holier than thou crowd here who are ruining this sites great potential by trying to control what information the world can know. They define terms like notability WP:N and reliable sources WP:RS and nit picky definitions, then enforce their opinions through deletion of articles that don't conform. I've been so offended by these (expletive deleted) types that I am now kind of at the forefront of the battle to try to stop that trend (most particularly for athletes), which is what inspired the writing of your article. See this.

I would love to accept the details of your life on your own veracity. On Wikipedia, that is called "Original Research" (I would suggest by the person who is in the best position to know what he is talking about) and is not allowed. Here is a solution I can offer: If you can produce any documentation to support any statement (like the club you ran for), please send it to me and I'll host it on my own trackinfo.org website then use that as a source. My direct e-mail is info@trackinfo.org And please add more about yourself. I'm sure there is a lot more the world can know about your lifetime accomplishments (as long as it can be documented). I'm trying to slowly filter significant masters athletes onto wikipedia. I found your photography of Masters athletes, did you also run?

By the way, we have never met, but I directed TV coverage of the 1988 Lasse Viren Finnish Invitational. Through that, I got to know Eino and the history of the race.Trackinfo (talk) 16:39, 14 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
