Speedy deletion nomination of Frank Sinatra: 10 CD Box Set

edit

A tag has been placed on Frank Sinatra: 10 CD Box Set requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. De728631 (talk) 22:04, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for yelling at you with the final warning notice, you're actually doing a lot of work at the Sinatra pages. However, I am still convinced that the 10 CD box is not noteworthy enough to be included in Wikipedia. I have nominated the article for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frank Sinatra: 10 CD Box Set, where everybody can discuss it. De728631 (talk) 18:10, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 16 Most Requested Songs

edit

The article 16 Most Requested Songs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable compilation, article reads like an advert, rating reference is wrong.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. De728631 (talk) 14:38, 27 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I really do think that we do NOT need to include every available compilation whatsoever in Wikipedia. Per WP:notability (music), "All articles on albums, singles or songs must meet the basic criteria at the notability guidelines, with significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". So far you have only provided false Allmusic links for reviews of other albums in this article and the one I criticised above. Please do not create any more "album" stubs for Sinatra unless the publication is really noteworthy and has received sufficient secondary coverage! De728631 (talk) 14:42, 27 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of 16 Most Requested Songs

edit

An editor has nominated 16 Most Requested Songs, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/16 Most Requested Songs and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. De728631 (talk) 15:36, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sinatra Saga Vol.2

edit

A tag has been placed on Sinatra Saga Vol.2 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 06:34, 24 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article Frank Sinatra: Live at Melbourne Festival Hall has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

More templates than text. Does not even appear to be a live album, but rather just a concert. No evidence of notability or significance.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ‡ El cid, el campeador talk 14:32, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
