Welcome edit

Hello, Okmjui2000, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

There is a page about the verifiability policy that explains the policy in greater detail, and another that offers tips on the proper ways of citing sources. If you are stuck and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  McSly (talk) 03:41, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Space elevator edit

Hello Okmjui2000, I reverted again the paragraph you added to the Space elevator article. Your additions had several problems that I listed in my reverts. Please do not add the text again before talking about it in the talk page of the article. I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the Wikipedia policies on Original research and Reliable source before doing any other edits. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know. --McSly (talk) 04:02, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are in violation of Wikipedia policy. See WP:3RR. Please stop this. You risk being blocked from editing. Use the Talk page to discuss changes. Making unilateral changes against opposition is wholly against Wikipedia spirit. -- Ec5618 (talk) 18:56, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below.

Let me say this but once: You cannot cite a work of fiction as a scholarly source. McSly and Ec were well within their rights to revert your edits. In the future, instead of getting into a revert war, use the article talk page to discuss controversial changes or any additions that need examined first. If you return to edit-warring once this block expires, I or another admin will block you for longer. -Jeremy (v^_^v Cardmaker) 06:37, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
