Re: Kânik

Hi, Oharion. Thanks for your work on that article; it has expanded quite a bit since the {{fiction}} tag was placed. But since User:Keenan Pepper originally added the notice, it would be best to contact him about it or leave a note on Talk:Kânik and remove the tag yourself if you feel the article no longer needs it. Thanks, Sango123 23:33, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

It looks fine now, so I removed it. —Keenan Pepper 02:10, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

AfD Nomination: Kânik (language)

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Kânik (language) meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kânik (language). Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, an administrator will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article.

I hope this won't discourage you from being a Wikipedian and contributing more in the future. - (), 16:07, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I found a few links to conlang-related wikis where you could post the article if it gets deleted on Wikipedia: [1] [2] [3]   I'm really sorry for this as I see you've done a lot of work on the article. And it looks like an interesting language, too. - (), 16:25, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • I'm glad I didn't scare you away from Wikipedia! Did you try the conlang wikis? (And I'm sorry for listing your language for deletion. It's not because your language isn't "good" somehow, it's just the article that was in the wrong place. I actually printed the article and I'm looking forward to reading more ^_^ If you post it on one of the conlang wikis could you please give me the link?) - (), 06:25, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
    • Specifically I'd like to see (but not on Wikipedia ^_^) a thorough explanation of the orthography with IPA and more information about the morphology and not just tables, and some glossed example sentences... mmmm glosses :-) - (), 12:30, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
