Hi there. My name is Thomas and I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Very new to Wikipedia article entry, but hope I am able to contribute my plethora of knowledge.

I currently work for an interactive agency that promotes a variety of companies; however, in my editing I will maintain the neutrality of bias that is needed in creating articles by only citing content that has been written about by third party authorities.

The page Westbrook Technologies has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. • It still seemed like the sole purpose of the article was to talk about how wonderful this company is and how useful its products are. A lot of the sources were PR releases, too. NawlinWiki (talk) 04:00, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Editing edit

I did some editing of it to eliminate duplication & avoid repeating the name of the company and the product. The remaining significant problem is that the awards are relatively minor, and the references mainly press releases. A significant review in a trade publication would be enough to firmly establish the article. Some information about market share would also help. And you could upload a single good screenshot, being sure to license it formally according to the details at WP:DCM (note that this must be a free license, permitting anyone in the world to use it even for commercial purposes). I would strongly suggest trying to get some of this material before moving it back. If it were me, I would be very cautious about the negative effect of a community decision to delete, and not move it back until there's a better chance it would not be deleted.
