Citations | References section question

Hi I dream of horses:

Thanks for reaching out. This is my first full article on wikipedia and I am still learning.

My question: The cited entries in my references section is not showing beside the numbers (example [1] [2]) automatically generated by the article. My cited entries appear at the lower section with no numbers. See the attached.

Any help will be appreciated

That's because you're using external links, when I think you mean to use inline citations.
