That was a form letter, obviously. Here's the beef. I reverted your edits to Central Branch Union Pacific Railroad. The railroad did enter Nebraska via a branch from Yuma to Prosser. --NE2 09:04, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was all set to look of the details and tell you that you're wrong, but it appears that you are correct, since the MP leased the CBUP in 1880, but the branch did not enter Nebraska until 1887. I am very sorry about that, and have reverted my reversion.
As for the other changes, they are in general good, but I made a few clarifications. In particular, the MP did not merge with the UP until 1997. As for the purpose as a branch of the UP - sure, it may have originally intended to reach the Pacific (do you have a reference for this?), but the statement that it was given land grants by the 1862 act is true.
