- Before any more edits to the article, please address the question of your relationship to the subject of the article. The evidence is that you created this article in 2008 and it is the only article you have ever edited. Having a conflict of interest, as in personally knowing the subject, does not preclude editing, but should be declared on your User page. A paid relationship MUST be declared. All that is needed to put the COI and PAID questions to bed is for you to state here on your Talk page that you do not know HF personally and are in no way being compensated directly or indirectly for you decision to create and work on the article about him. I have enjoyed Hershey Felder's work since 2001. Many years ago, I met him while with a group of theatre fans and I have briefly spoken to him at a post-show CD signing. However, I am not paid (directly or indirectly) to contribute to his Wikipedia article. Since I follow his career and enjoy his productions, my only intention is to help ensure that his accomplishments are accurately represented. OGT90201 (talk) 18:39, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
- @OGT90201: Thank you for replying. Please be mindful that WP is not a resume WP:Resume; and most of your contributions are resume content. I overhauled this page a while back and only kept "encyclopedic" content with as many secondary sources as I could find (reviews mostly). Please be mindful that this is not a page to update Felder's every move or promote his career; and that content to its liking may be challenged or removed. Sources that are directly linked to the subject and / or sites that rely on self-published promotional material and information are not reliable; i.e. Broadway World, Subject's Website, Blogs (online diaries), promotional appearance previews, etc. If the content is deemed notable for inclusion, it should be backed by secondary sources: WP:USEPRIMARY. I hope this helps in moving forward. In regards to the mention of certain edits on David notMD's Talk Page: "It was only when a friend mentioned the somewhat negative tone of the article (as well as an odd concentration on atypical media coverage) that I chose to make the edits"; before my overhaul, the article did not have a WP:NPOV in regards to Felder, his career, and his performances. BLP articles must have a neutral point of view; taken from what the secondary sources write about the subject: positive or negative. Otherwise, WP would be filled with self-proclaimed praise content directly from the subject - and their admirers / fans - themselves.
