February 2019 edit

Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Julia Salazar. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. JesseRafe (talk) 19:28, 5 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

July 2019 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Julia Salazar, you may be blocked from editing. JesseRafe (talk) 16:08, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Can you explain to me how what I wrote was not "neutral"? Everything was a statement of fact, properly cited and without any personal opinions. I am forced to conclude that you have some sort of personal interest in censoring any criticism from Senator Salazar's page.ODDoom99 (talk) 16:48, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please do not continue to threaten me without explaining how what I wrote was inaccurate or biased. You can start by telling me exactly what part of what I wrote is "commentary" and which part is "personal analysis."ODDoom99 (talk) 16:52, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

In the meantime, I have forwarded this dispute to the Arbitration committee due to your threatening, unprofessional tone and biased view towards the subject at hand. I trust this matter can be resolved without further outbursts on your part. In the meantime, please refrain from deleting my edits once again.ODDoom99 (talk) 17:09, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Advice edit

ODDoom99, I hope you know how incredibly rare it is for an editor with 27 edits to bring a case to ANI. Even editors with years of experience generally avoid that place. I don't know whether you have previously edited here or not but I recommend that you get on with editing a variety of uncontroversial articles and demonstrate that you are making a contribution to the project. By coming to ANI, you will now have editors watching your editing for a while and most editors find this kind of scrutiny unwelcome. I encourage you to move on to other articles and try to find a way to collaborate with other editors. No one likes to be corrected or reverted but it is a part of editing here on Wikipedia that you have to accept, especially if you work in contentious subject areas. Liz Read! You should also be aware that an admin has placed extended confirmed access protection on Julia Salazar that prevents you from editing this article until you have more experience (you need to be an editor for 30 days and have at least 500 edits). While you might resent this action, please know that it is an alternative to blocking you from editing completely. I think the feeling is that you can still become a productive editor with more experience. I hope you will recognize this act of faith in you and find other articles to contribute to as you learn how to navigate around the project. Liz Read! Talk! 02:06, 2 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your kind response, but if making a couple small edits invites this level of vitriol and censorship, I don't think editing Wikipedia is for me. I have a full time job and do not have time to argue with people all day, especially when they cannot even dispute a single edit I made. It's obvious that there are people who do nothing but Wikipedia all day and will find a way to push out newcomers like myself. It's unfortunate, because it discourages novices from participating and makes Wikipedia less collaborative, but I would rather spend my time on something more productive. Just something to keep in mind :)
