Hello,
I have been working at Northrop Grumman for over 28 years in their R&D department. I, along with National Geographic, was recently selected to build a Full scale Horten 229 without engines to evaluate its radar signature. I lead a small group of Highly skilled Techs. to complete the task. For the record, there was never a 229 evaluated, copyed or used by Northrop to develop their flying wing back then. Ever. Jack Northrop and his engeneers did it on their own. No outside help or influence.
For the full story just tune in to Nat Geo this late spring or this fall. All questions are answered. And yes, The Model was studied by our team and simulated in detail.
                     T.K.
