Great!

We have worked on a number of articles so far, both in English and Spanish. Of course the center article is on the Festival itself, which is much better than it was, but could always use more information. Lots of red links, both in the article text and in the boxes at the end of the article. We have made contact with the Festival people themselves, CONACULTA (thanks to the Tec), the embassies of the four invited countries and some artists to ask for images and/or information. Wikimedia-UK has also just promised to help us. One of the students with media connections, just got a few of us press passes in order to take pics at the Festival as well! I have four independent study students working with Wikipedia this semester (they thought our highest English class was too easy and a waste of time so they are with me). I also just introduced my Medical English class to working in Wikipedia, with their introductory assignment related to the project (easy to get help this way) I promise their main articles will be on medical topics! Since most are newbies, I have them working on translation from English to Spanish as it gives a good intro to the structure and citation of WP articles. But my four students did try their hand at writing English articles. They are generally good, but with the kind of errors one would expect from native Spanish speakers.
