December 2013 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Notodden Blues Festival may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "()"s and 2 "[]"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Notodden Blues Festival edit

Hi there. Thank you for your recent edits to the Notodden Blues Festival. One of your edits deleted a picture that was on the article, and much of the article's formatting has been changed. I'd be happy to help you. Or, you can make test edits in the sandbox. As well, all the information you add needs a verifiable source. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:51, 19 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Magnolia677,

Please give me some simple guidance on this and thanks for your help.Notoddenbluesfestival (talk) 20:02, 19 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I see a note has been added about a conflict of interest. Also, all of the information on the article is self-referenced. These are both problems on Wikipedia. What information do you need to add to the article? I noticed something about a Blues Trail marker. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:12, 19 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest and username problems edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Notoddenbluesfestival", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. 69.181.253.230 (talk) 20:04, 19 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
