Speedy deletion of A2Z Travel edit

A tag has been placed on A2Z Travel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Table on A2Z Travel page edit

I noticed that you tried to add to the fleet list on A2Z Travel but left the table looking rather a mess. If you can't figure out how to get the table formatting correct I would suggest that you revert the page to before your changes, so it doesn't look a mess, and then put a note on the article's talk page with the information you want to add, or to ask for advice. It's likely that someone else will then be able to help you. This is much better than leaving the page looking a mess. Thanks, Rich257 (talk) 20:06, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of A2Z Travel edit

A tag has been placed on A2Z Travel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Speedy deletion of Reedswood Retail Park edit

A tag has been placed on Reedswood Retail Park requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Quaser Centre, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Quaser Centre. Speedy deletion of National Express West Midlands Service 394 edit

A tag has been placed on National Express West Midlands Service 394 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Bus route articles edit

Be careful when creating articles on West Midlands bus routes. They are rarely notable enough to be included on Wikipedia per WP:NOT (Wikipedia is not a directory). Local services should be emitted, but if they cover a large area of the county, then it might be worth including them. It is very touch and go. Hello Notepanel,

I work at Traveline West Midlands/ Centro Hotline and every week we receive registrations from all the bus companies detailing what changes they are going to do to the route. As we are classed as 'front-line staff' we are allowed to give out the information as it is released to us. You can view the registrations as they come in via VOSA, however, they do not usually give information if it is just a 'route variation' or 'timetable alteration'.

Hope this helps!

National Express West Midlands Scania Omnilink edit

I think you are right where you have suggested about West Bromwich garage being allocated some of the 60x Scania Omnilinks arriving later this year. The following is what I assume is happening ...

  • Walsall routes 301 311 and 313 = about 25 buses
  • West Bromwich routes 404 and 404A = about 15 buses
  • Coventry routes 20, 30A, 30C, 40, 50 and 60 = about 15 buses
  • Pensnett unknown route(s) = about 5 buses

this still could dramatically change though. Curran1980 (talk) 15:27, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: A2Z Travel edit

Sorry I've been so late in replying about this! If I'm honest I got sidetracked when I first read the message then completely forgot! So once again, apologies about that.

I have looked at the current situation. As you say, the section is referenced and I definitely think it's notable, after all, what's a bus company without its licence?! I think that in due course it may be an idea if you or someone else could find a couple more references to that section (indeed a few more for the whole article), to strengthen it a bit.

However, as it stands, there is no reason for the information to be deleted. The fact that two IP addresses have removed the content makes me suspicious, I really honestly wouldn't be surprised if those IPs come from people who work for or are related to the company, and are trying to not make themselves look bad.

I now have the page on my watchlist and will continue to look out for further vandalism. As I said, there is no reason why is should be deleted. Thanks for asking me about a second opinion, it's always good to have a couple of editors behind you!! Arriva436talk/contribs 19:51, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

S802 is a normal service variant of S2 (one morning trip Balsall Common > Olton) which takes a direct route between Knowle & Solihull, as it runs on Saturdays as well as weekdays, including School Holidays.
S803 is a short working variant of S3 (Acocks Green > Solihull) which runs on schooldays mornings only so is probably a "School Service available to general public". Curran1980 (talk) 18:44, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of A2Z Travel edit

The article A2Z Travel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:CORP. All of the sources are routine trivial coverage (see WP:CORPDEPTH) of the closure of the business.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
