Falun Gong edit

It's not clear why you restored the unsourced content here. Did you see the reason I removed it ? The edit summary says "please cite a source that says this in the context of describing Falun Gong's views so that it complies with WP:V and avoids WP:SYNTH". Those links are to Wikipedia policies. Compliance is mandatory. Sean.hoyland - talk 14:47, 26 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I provided a link to the page Buddhism and sexuality, which I think is completely relevant- given that the article is making claims about the Buddhist views on sexuality.

Might also say that it makes no attempt to verify the more unjustified implication that Buddhist attitudes to homosexuality are the same as Christian or Islamic views - which is quite a misleading claim

I agree that Gutmann's statement is questionable and a bit of a sweeping statement (I live in Thailand), however, none of that matters because of the way Wikipedia works. The article isn't making claims using Wikipedia's narrative voice. Ethan Gutmann is making claims and the claims are attributed to him. To refute/challenge those claims requires a source that specifically addresses what Gutmann says and presents a different assessment (in the context of Falun Gong) with or without mentioning Gutmann. The key thing is that the source needs to be about Falun Gong. Have a look through WP:SYNTH and I think it will become clear what I mean. You're combining material in a way that isn't allowed. I understand why you think it is necessary but it's not the right way according to Wikipedia's rules. You also need to cite the source in the Falun Gong article itself. Linking to a Wikipedia article isn't enough (see WP:CIRCULAR). Sean.hoyland - talk 15:21, 26 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I still don't feel the current article is accurate- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.186.190.187 (talk) 10:03, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
