License tagging for Image:Sepuede.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Sepuede.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:08, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

If you're interested in blood libel and human sacrifice... edit

You might also wish to check out the discussion about child sacrifice in Carthage. Read the Talk Page and the archives. Check out the "Religion" section in the Carthage article and also check out the Religion in Carthage article.

You may find this interesting because it involves a potential blood libel by the Hebrews against the Phoenicians as documented in the Hebrew Scriptures. You might find this a curious twist given that you seem to have an interest in blood libel against Judaism.

Richard, thank you for the note. I will certainly look at those discussions. And, I look forward to interacting with you again.

Thanks, and don't forget to use "Show preview" button edit

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Human sacrifice in Aztec culture. You are making a big difference. I wanted to raise a couple of points regarding Wikipedia conventions:

  • The Notes section is used for footnotes and inline references to specific sentences, phrases, and quotes. The References section lists all the various resources used to create the article. I took the liberty of separating them in the article.
  • It is recommended that we use the preview button before we save; this helps us find any errors we've made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history.

Thanks again and welcome. --Madman 00:25, 17 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I second the thanks expressed by User:Madman2001. I suspect the Notes/Reference conflation may have been my fault caused by sloppy editing when I copied stuff over from the Talk Page.

Improving Mexican Jews article edit

You seem to be one of the people who contributed some references to the Mexico section of the Crypto-Judaism article. Do you happen to know which of the other contributors have added useful material specifically related to Jews in Mexico? I'm trying to improve the Mexican Jews article and could use some help. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
