You seem dedicated to the current article of the Venezuelan protests, I also thank you for using the pictures I have taken, I didn't expect them to be used so quickly and I really appreciate both things. Since Wikipedia is visited so many times each day I found important to collaborate with the article, especially if I'm from the country where the protests are taking place. I actually was wondering if you were from Venezuela too. Anyways, things doesn't look like they're going to get better any soon here, but fortunately everything will be fine at the end. I will try to keep helping in the article and keep the events up to date. I wish you good luck to you too, take care! - @Zfigueroa: Hi Zfigueroa! First of all I wanted to apologize if I have been a little inactive these days; I’m not sure what other information I can bring to the article but there are still edits I want to make (like the intervention of María Corina Machado in the OAS I mentioned in the talk page, for example). Perhaps I’ll have more time for that now the Holy Week is coming.
- I see the article has improved many aspects since the last time I visited, like the addition of pro-government marches and that is often updated, but there are other points that should be treated as well. I consider more statements of president Maduro, especially during his national “cadenas” (media emitions) should be included to add more weight to the article. Many of those are included in the Spanish chronology of the events and I suggest once more that some parts should be translated. International press and media information should also continue to be included, not only to help improving the neutral point of view but also to facilitate information to English speakers.
- Personally, I have to disagree with Zozs’ proposal to slim down the information in the history section, and I think instead a new article should be created to talk about all the events, while the most important one are to be included in the protests article. Likewise, I think the information of an extensive section should be moved to a new or an existing article.
- Regarding barricades, as far as I know the guayas (the metal wires) are the ones who have killed some people, while the barricades themselves don’t, although some persons are severely affected by these. President Maduro has criticized, for example, that people blocked by barricades don’t have access to hospitals or any health care. Some protesters argue that barricades are also used as a protection against armed groups, and not only as a form of protest.
- Once again I’m sorry if this reply is way too long, I don’t know if this should be included in the talk page or other discussion page. A neutral point of view may be as hard to find as the events of the protests in Ukraine, but it’s not impossible. I’ll try to help uploading original work of the protests, but since I haven’t been in any pro-government march I don’t have any picture of them by now. That’s why I’ve wondered if pictures received through the cellphone is considered by Wikipedia as a copyright violation. Good luck with the article, you’re doing a great job! - I knew this was going to be hard but I'm trying to make things go as smoothly as possible. I have seen what you meant on the spanish version of the article with a separate timeline article and think that may be needed in the future.
- The pictures on your cell phone can be uploaded as long as they are yours. If they are your friends, just have them upload it. Make sure they are not taken from news articles or randomly off the internet. Just stay safe at any marches!
- If you could find out more about the barricades that would be awesome. I have heard about the metal wires and may add that to the article if i can find it. It is kinda being disputed right now on the talk page where I have been working on neutrality.
- @Zfigueroa:I haven't been in a march for some time now, that's part of why I haven't uploaded more pictures recently and why I wondered if I could upload others' pics in the article. Sadly, they're not Wikipedia users, use Flickr or upload the photos online, so I can't think of a way to give credit to them. - I just need help with explaining the shortages in the food section. I already added the section about the currency black market but I want to relate the shortage of dollars in Venezuela to shortages of food.

- @Zfigueroa: I personally think shortages of food got worse since the presidency of Nicolás Maduro and the creation of Sicad and Sicad 2, which also controls the foreign exchange. Would you like me to look for local sources? (The Banco Central de Venezuela, for example) Here are some:

- @Zfigueroa: I have the government's version of the constitution, it surely has some controversial pictures. There are also many murals against the American government, but currently I don't have photos of any of them. If I happen to take pictures of them I'll upload them to the article, it seems like an interesting article I could work in. I would also like to ask you if you'd like to help with Venezuelan history articles, those about presidents like Juan Vicente Gómez, for example, or the Barranquilla Plan. - @ZiaLater: I gave a quick glance to the article and its discussion page. It seeems a good start of what could be a good article, but I agree it lacks reasearch and some of its content looks a little biased, like the introduction. I would suggest to research in the official webpage of the party, but apparently it is short of information, so maybe it would be better instead to get information in newspapers' websites.
