April 2017 edit

  • I see that this is one of a number of new accounts which are all acting together, and are all using user pages and user talk pages to post the same, or very similar, text about social media, and with nothing whatever to do with editing the encyclopaedia. This is not what user pages and talk pages are for: Wikipedia is not a free web host for storing pages for use unrelated to work for the encyclopaedia.
  • Is this a class project or something of the kind? If it is, it has been set up by a teacher with little or no knowledge of how Wikipedia works, and it is doing things which are against Wikipedia policy. If it is a project set by a teacher, can you please ask that teacher to go to "Wikipedia:Education noticeboard/Incidents/Archive 6#Possible Class project?" and explain there what is going on?
  • You are welcome to start contributing to the encyclopaedia if you would like to, but if the present editing pattern continues then it is likely that a Wikipedia administrator will block all the accounts involved, as it seems that you are not here to contribute to the encyclopaedia.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Trevor schwartz, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:39, 5 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
