YouTube as a source and JR Chandler's age

Hello, Nk3play2. YouTube is typically not considered a reliable source here at Wikipedia, except for in certain cases. For a bit of information on that, here is a discussion about using YouTube on Wikipedia: Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)/Archive 36#Youtube as a source. There have been plenty of Wikipedia debates/discussions about its use here. It is sometimes permitted, such as in the cases of an article about YouTube, a YouTube star such as Chris Crocker, or articles about a YouTube video, but it is more often prohibited. There used to be a section about it at WP:Reliable sources or at WP:Verifiability, but that is no longer the case.

As for character's ages, recently it has been decided to remove all character ages from the character infobox, as seen here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television#Age fields in fictional character infoboxes. It is okay to put the ages in the lead (intro) of articles, however, as long as they are not in-universe. As for JR's age in particular, though, are you sure that he is 27 this year? I thought that in 2008 when Babe died, his age was stated to be 25 along with Babe's (which would make him 26 this year). Just so you know, I did put his age in the lead. It would very much be appreciated if you would login to your User:Nk3play2 account to edit from now on. Also, linking to a family tree that you designed isn't a valid external link. From WP:ELNO on links to be avoided: Links to blogs, personal web pages and most fansites, except those written by a recognized authority (this exception is meant to be very limited; as a minimum standard, recognized authorities always meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for biographies). And our policy on verifiability specifically mentions self published sources:Anyone can create a website or pay to have a book published, then claim to be an expert in a certain field. For that reason self-published media, whether books, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, blogs, Internet forum postings, tweets etc., are largely not acceptable. So, no more linking to that site, and please login to your account from now on.
Furthermore, you should really start using user and article talk pages. You haven't made any posts on article talk or user talk pages as your IP and you're only article talk page contributions using this account was moving a talk page and the only user talk page edit was to blank this page. I saw your changes to this article, and then I peaked at your General Hospital Wikia. You copied it directly from there. A major "no-no". The work done on Wikipedia is released under the GNU Free Documentation License. Here are conditions of the license:

• All previous authors of the work must be attributed.
• All changes to the work must be logged.
• All derivative works must be licensed under the same license.
• The full text of the license, unmodified invariant sections as defined by the author if any, and any other added warranty disclaimers (such as a general disclaimer alerting readers that the document may not be accurate for example) and copyright notices from previous versions must be maintained.
• Technical measures such as DRM may not be used to control or obstruct distribution or editing of the document.

Since you copied the text from another Wiki, we cannot attribute all of the authors. Nor do we want to. They're banned for a reason. All changes for the work cannot be logged since most of the contributors to the article are banned from Wikipedia and we cannot import the log from your Wikia. Do you see the problems here? Sorry about that. I assumed that you had actually changed some text from the Children of General Hospital. I suppose I thought if you went to the trouble to undo the merge you would have changed something or anything. Also, since you didn't make any edits to the Children of General Hospital article removing the text you copied, I assumed you hadn't actually looked at it. Do you think we really need two articles that say the same thing? Your edit summary was: (I restored the article of a contract character. Her storyline is expanding.) Yet you didn't expand it. Also, since you're an admin on the General Hospital Wikia and openly admit that the articles are copied from here, I assume you are familiar with their rules. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
