Speedy deletion declined: Mohamed Sirad Dolal edit

Hello Tauhid16. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mohamed Sirad Dolal, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: not promotional and there are claims of importance/signs of notability. Needs discussion at WP:AFD. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 19:21, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Using Bengali at English Wikipedia Talk space edit

You posted a message on my talk on English Wikipedia. You are a contributor in English Wikipedia too and you are fluent in English as well. Any content at talk pages shall be understandable to all editors. If you write in Bengali then most editors would not be able to comprehend. It will be appreciated if you use English while discussing in English Wikipedia. – nafSadh did say 13:13, 6 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Purpose of color edit

When changing political party colors such as Template:Bangladesh Awami League/meta/color, keep in mind that the purpose of the color is clarity in Wikipedia's tables, charts, graphs, and maps. The color is not meant to be the party's current "official" color or to reinforce their branding. Historically many parties in Bangladesh have used green as an official color in their flags, logos, and publications, perhaps trying to appeal to Muslims or to nationalism or patriotism evoked by the green in Bangladesh's flag.

Colors are defined for 40 parties in Bangladesh. To make them easily distinguishable, they are scattered around the color spectrum, but with so many parties, many are necessarily one hue/shade/tint of green or another. When changing a party's color, consider whether the change makes it more difficult to distinguish two parties. When changing a green, remember to also consider all the reds that are used, since they appear the same to readers with red-green color blindness.

Your change is the 7th in ten years to the Awami League, and the 5th green to be used for it. It is not an improvement. It muddies the difference between parties in Wikipedia's illustrations. If you are willing to adjust the other 39 colors accordingly, then I have no objection, but if not, undoing the change would be best. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:58, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Use the article's talk page edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Economy of Bangladesh. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:10, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
