Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Robinsonekspedisjonen into Robinsonův ostrov. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:49, 27 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Wyspa Przetrwania: Fidżi

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wyspa Przetrwania: Fidżi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Farma (Slovak TV series) contestants, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Waltham Abbey, Podhradie and Podlužany (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:Expeditie Robinson 2017 Logo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Expeditie Robinson 2017 Logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. License tagging for File:Koh-Lanta, le combat des héros.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Koh-Lanta, le combat des héros.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:31, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Farmen articles

Hi Nintenga, The infobox Template:Big Brother endgame will be eventually deleted once the template is not used on any articles as per this discussion. Another editor may remove Template:Big Brother endgame at any time without moving these dates to another place in the article which is in accordance with the above discussion. If you would like to keep the Entered/Exit dates in the article it is highly recommended to move this information to the Finishing order table by creating an Entered/Exited columns between Hometown/Status. If Template:Big Brother endgame is used on any other Farmen articles it is highly recommended to do the same with those articles. Thank you! Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 22:39, 11 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for File:Koh-Lanta- La Guerre des Chefs.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Koh-Lanta- La Guerre des Chefs.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 22:45, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Koh-Lanta- La Guerre des Chefs.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Koh-Lanta- La Guerre des Chefs.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:57, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Robinson 2021

The two contestants were officially "disqualified", which I believe means they don't count in the finish rankings. Ejected is not the same as disqualified for this reason. Disqualified means being excluded, while ejection just means you're merely kicked out of the competition. --2A02:AA1:1027:67C4:AD72:1A9:A96E:3164 (talk) 14:15, 3 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm going based off of other articles of foreign Survivor seasons. In a way, disqualified does mean their participation is nullified but I would argue that it doesn't remove the placements they finished in (not automatically making their placements dead last.) Unless someone eliminated before them returned to the game, their finished placement is not affected regardless of the reason for their removal/elimination. Feel free to correct me if I am potentially misinterpreting the meaning. -- Nintenga (talk) 19:04, 15 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Can you help with Survivor Hungary season 5?

edit

I hastily made Survivor - A Sziget: Celebek a civilek ellen! which is Survivor Hungary season 5 (purely because there was the other 4 seasons already having articles). I was only able to find the winner, the runner up and the contestant list (and the subtitle and whether the contestants were "celebrities" or "civilians"). I included the subtitle in the name instead of "season 5", but you can change this if you want, its not consistent even among seasons of the same series (i.e. Australian Survivor (season 6) and Australian Survivor: Heroes V Villains) so we can really choose either way, I'm probably just leaning towards season 5 and mentioning the full name in bold. I noticed you made Survivor - A sziget (season 4), so yeah if you know any more info about season 5 just add it and feel free to just re write it if you want. Because I got a notability warning, probably because of the few sources included and lack of information in general MarkiPoli (talk) 16:50, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2003

edit

Hi! I was just wondering if you happened to know if Michella's and Lisbet's vote outs had a tiebreaker. My fair guess is that they went with past votes (considering they're both the ones with the most votes each time). I wanted be sure before I added the voting table to the Wiki. Freddy7GL (talk) 02:45, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I don't personally know for sure what happened if they went to previous votes or not. I wasn't able to find any good sources regarding that vote out. The only source I saw regarding how it was decided whom was eliminated was on the Danish article of the season, Robinson Ekspeditionen 2003 where through translation mentions that their Tribe Chief, Claus decided who was eliminated (next to Lisbet's name on the article.) Hope it helps. Nintenga (talk) 00:40, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Justifications Survivor UK 3

edit

Countries

edit

Hey I'm just here to justify why I believe countries are necessary for Survivor UK Contestant lists. England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are very different and all considered countries in their own right. The precedent for countries being stated was set by Survivor Africa: Panama, so not only does it add more detail, it is also for necessity's sake.

Thanks! Hope you understand x Thecheeseistalking99 (talk) 20:34, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Colours

edit

The colours are not noticibly different and the new ones look better imo, it is just for aesthetic purposes and they still are accurate to those of the tribes in the show.

Thank you :) Thecheeseistalking99 (talk) 20:34, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Response (from Nintenga)

edit
Hello, sorry for the delay. Been busy but I'll explain to the best of my abilities as to why I made those changes. Firstly for the tribe colours, I do get your point that it is just for atheistic purposes. Personally for me, the colour for Caletón is better than what was there originally. The colour you had for De Nana felt like it was too bright to read properly and at the time, seemed like the original colours were better. Since then as you mentioned in the edit history, De Nana's colours are actually light teal which does look great on the table to view. With that, I think the colours are good and you did a good job bringing it to my attention and making them look great, I appreciate that.
Now for the countries, the example you listed with Survivor Africa: Panama are countries that aren't part of the same kingdom. They are completely different countries in my opinion. For example, this is a British television series, not a Scottish, not an English nor an Irish series but British. In this context I view them more as provinces and take the approach for listing their place of residence like it is with other articles of British reality television series such as Love Island and Big Brother. If one of the contestants were from the Republic of Ireland, then I would add their country after their place of residence as Ireland isn't part of the UK whereas Northern Ireland is. I hope that explains some things, I can understand why you asked that but I changed it as it is consistent with other articles for other British reality television series.

If you have any other questions please let me know, I'll try and answer them as soon as possible (and hopefully quicker) but I hope that can answer your questions regarding the countries and the colours for the Survivor UK series articles. Nintenga (talk) 16:50, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
