Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Speedy deletion nomination of Spoilers:Miiverse edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Spoilers:Miiverse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. -- LuK3 (Talk) 23:49, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Operating bots on Wikipedia edit

Hi NintendoPoster. Judging from what is above, it seems like you are using or thinking about using an automated program or a bot to edit Wikipedia. I have to ask you to refrain from editing further using that program, because all bots must be approved for use on Wikipedia. If you want to get approval for your bot, please read over the bot policy and then make a request for its approval. I, JethroBT drop me a line 23:56, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm not doing that edit

I'm just introducing my new bot,I'm not editing Wikipedia with it.

Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia Ambassadors edit

Hello NintendoPoster,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Wikipedia Ambassadors for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 23:59, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Enthusiasm is appreciated...however... edit

Hi NintendoPoster, Welcome to Wikipedia. My name is Howicus, I've been here for a while. You seem enthusiastic, and that's good. However, there are a few things about Wikipedia that you should know. First off, ever Wikipedia article needs reliable, independent sources to show that the subject of the article is notable. These could include newspapers or magazines. Take a look at WP:42 and WP:IRS for more on sources, andWP:REFBEGIN for details on how to add them. Also, if you want to make a new article, I'd suggest using the article wizard located here to create a draft. That way, you can work on the page until it's all ready, then submit it, and it won't be vulnerable to deletion in the meantime. Hope this all helps.
By the way, I have a question for you. What are you trying to do with edits like this one? As far as I can tell, nothing on that page is problematic. You appear to be trying to pretend to be an official of some type...if that is what you're doing, please stop. If not, please explain what you intended to do there. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 00:09, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Administrator Chat! edit

Well,That does all help but what do you think I should appeal too?

Inappropriate pages edit

Hi NintendoPoster, my name is Jethro. Thanks for joining Wikipedia.

I'm posting here because I'm a bit concerned about the contributions you're making so far, so I wanted to point some things out to you before you continue to edit further. Wikipedia is not about tips and tricks in video games, so your article on Spoilers:Miiverse was removed. Your "violations" messages on various talk pages were confusing and I'm not even sure what your goal was with posting them. The article on Wikipedia Ambassadors is also not necessary because internal projects on Wikipedia are on a different space on Wikipedia than normal articles (e.g. the Ambassador program is at Wikipedia:Ambassadors). I'd encourage you to read this to get a sense of what articles aren't really appropriate for Wikipedia. In the future, please use the Articles for Creation tool for creating new articles to make sure that your idea for a new article makes sense with what Wikipedia is about. Let me know if you have any questions. I, JethroBT drop me a line 00:15, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sorry edit

I'm sorry,I just logged on and don't know what to do,Am I going to get blocked?

Well, the way I see it, you're a new user and you didn't quite know how Wikipedia works. You didn't know the guidelines, but now you do. So long as you try to stick to them, you should be fine. And if you have any questions about how Wikipedia works, feel free to ask here, or try the Teahouse, a page designed for new users to ask questions. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 00:27, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict)I agree with Howicus. It's fine that you don't know what to do right now. People come in with all sorts of assumptions about what's OK on Wikipedia, and sometimes those assumptions are correct and other times not. You've recognized that something's wrong, so no, you won't get blocked as long as you understand what we're concerned about and avoid doing in the future. We try to assume good faith around here, so you're in good shape. I think something you'll find helpful is The Wikipedia Adventure, which will show you the ropes about editing, creating new articles, and talking with other editors. I'd encourage you to check it out. I, JethroBT drop me a line 00:31, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks edit

Thank you.

The Teahouse edit

Hello again NintendoPoster. I noticed you made a couple of edits to the Teahouse, trying to answer questions. I'm going to have to ask that you not answer Teahouse questions at this time. Your simply don't have the experience to answer those questions at this time. The users at the Teahouse are often new, and answering their questions should be left to users with the necessary experience. If you're looking for something to do on Wikipedia, try the Community Portal. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 00:53, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Xbox controller Pro edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Xbox controller Pro requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader.

Your contributed article, Short sleeves edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Short sleeves. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Shirt. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Shirt – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 11:58, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
