Huntington Beach and Kilmarnock

edit

Your addition to Huntington Beach, California, claiming Kilmarnock to be a sister city, requires a proper reference as the cited source does not mention it. You have repeated added this information without citing your sources, which constitutes vandalism. Kristopher, please desist or cite your source. Thank you. Laigh Kirk

edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Laigh Kirk. Your edits appeared to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Kevin Forsyth (talk) 20:50, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

To offer specifics, your latest contributions to Laigh Kirk may be summed up as containing the following:

  • A parish church infobox that appears to have been taken from a Catholic parish, then altered with information (including a redlinked misspelling of the word Protestant) but leaving inaccurate information behind. I suspect that a Protestant church is not affiliated with Roman Catholicism.
  • Non-notable and tangential information about nearby restaurants.
  • An uncited statement that implies the building dates from 1410, when the cited source (and at least one other online resource) state the 1600s.
  • A "popular culture" section about a film that has zero Google references, which makes me suspect a hoax. Adding to my suspicion, at least one edit included a self-mention of one "Kristopher Nimbley". Given your history [1] [2] [3] of this sort of behaviour (under different user accounts, also a violation of Wikipedia policy), this can only be viewed as vandalism.

I welcome your edits and admire your perseverance, but please read Wikipedia's Five pillars and consider its tenets while you edit. Thank you. Kevin Forsyth (talk) 23:09, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
