The article on Paramahansa Shree-Mad Swami Nigamananda Saraswati Deva (I moved it to that title, since it's his name, & we don't use honorifics in article titles) needs some work. He might be notable, but you have got to report only the facts of his life for which there is some evidence. If the events of his early life depend only on his autobiographical writings, say so clearly, and give an exact reference to where they are found--any language is fine. Additionally, the article must describe his teachings, but not praise them or advocate them, and some considerable parts of the article may need rewriting or removal accordingly. I advise you to do this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process. DGG ( talk ) 22:53, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Swami Nigamananda

edit

The article Swami Nigamananda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable person. He seems to have been a teacher who founded several ashrams but that's all. The article does not cite any reliable sources in support of its statements about his activities. Hopelessly POV. Fails WP:BIO, WP:RS, WP:SOAP

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andy (talk) 10:00, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi I herby answer your queries

  • 1)Non-notable person.

You have not read His article properly. How you can say he is not notable ?. I have seen few simple article in Wikipedia as camper to them my article is more evidence and contain good reference. Swami Nigamananda has obtain perfection in 4 sadhanas i.e. Tantra,Gyan,Yoga & Prema (I already provided reference and proper evidence in my article), did you find any person or soul who had completed these 4 sadhanas at a time. Example : Adi Shankarchary is for only “Gyan” Sadhana similarly Maha Prabhu Gourang is famous for only “Prema” Sadhana. NO BODY IN THIS WORLD, UNIVERSE IS THERE EXPECT SWAMI NIGAMANANDA, WHO HAS COMPLETED FOUR SADHANA AT A TIME AND RETURNED SUCCESSFULLY FROM NIRIVIKALPA SAMADHI. Please think and answer properly.

  • 2) He seems to have been a teacher who founded several ashrams but that's all.

How you can say he is teacher ? After studying this article you treat Swami Nigamanada as a teacher ? I request you understand this article first, read properly. He is a Sadguru not a teacher. Pls read article in Wikipedia. Who is Sadguru? and What is his capability? I will take this issue to Wikipedia's higher authority for a justices, because your this sentence cannot be acceptable.

  • 3) The article does not cite any reliable sources in support of its statements about his activities.

Many article are available in Wikipedia, which contain less quantity of reference as camper to my article. I will take this issue legally to higher authority of Wikipedia. This article is created on holy day, 10th Year Wikipedia day please note.

Before that you have pointed that this article has multiple issue with following: 1) Peacock term 2) No sufficient reference 3) Grammatical error

I have rectified all issues and you have agreed. I am very surprise again to receive the above message. Please do not play with us.

PLEASE DO NOT DELETE THIS ARTICLE TILL PROPER JUSTICS I RECEIVED FROM HIGHER AUTHORITY (LEGAL DEPARTMENT) OF WIKIPEDIA.

NB: Meditate Swami Nigamananda, you will get proper answer of my queries

Your editing of Swami Nigamananda

edit

It is very clear that you feel a deep and sincere veneration for the person of Swami Nigamananda, and maybe there are many other people who do likewise. Everybody here appreciates and respects these feelings. However, you need to understand that Wikipedia is a secular, international project that takes a strictly neutral perspective on all religious beliefs and feelings. You need to accept that a Wikipedia article cannot itself treat Nigamanda as a holy person and express feelings of admiration and veneration for him. If you cannot edit an article about this person in the detached, matter-of-fact style and based on facts documented in reliable academic sources, the same way we do in all other articles, you should not expect to be allowed to edit here for long. Yesterday the user page of Dcmpuri (talk · contribs) was given a notice "This user edited under a previous user name of Nilanchalswara"; but this account has been continuing to edit today. Please choose one account and use only that one: using multiple accounts may raise suspicions or sockpuppetry. JohnCD (talk) 19:01, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Because of that notice on the user page, I assume that Dcmpuri is the account you now wish to use, so I have "userfied" a copy of the article into a user sub-page there, and explained on Dcmpuri's talk page. JohnCD (talk) 21:18, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
I also have given you some advice on the talk page there, [[1]] DGG ( talk ) 00:42, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Permission for images

edit

Hello. You placed an OTRS permission tag on File:4guru nigamananda.gif, but the OTRS ticket to which you are referring is not connected to that image and is not usable for that image. In order to retain the image, we will need to know where you found the pictures you have compiled and who owns the copyright to those images. This can be difficult to ascertain, when they have been published in diverse sources years before their placement here (for example [2]). I have tagged the image as lacking evidence of permission. Please provide full details on the source of the images and follow the steps through communicating with WP:OTRS (which you have done before) if you are able to verify that you are using the content with due license. If you cannot verify this, the image will most likely need to be deleted. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:49, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
