Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Karan Singh Grover, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. In particular, WP:LEAD governs the introductory paragraph and WP:BLP/WP:RS tell about the importance of using high quality sources to support claims. DMacks (talk) 21:32, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. You are now also violating WP:BLP policy directly. You will be blocked the next time you do that. Stop. Stop now. DMacks (talk) 02:45, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to Karan Singh Grover has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:53, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Karan Singh Grover, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

With this series of edits you removed a notice that said not to add a birth date without providing a source, and then you proceeded to add a birth date without providing a source.] Such actions can only be seen as either deliberately disruptive, or as a sign of lack of WP:COMPETENCE. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:15, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Nikki2177. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Karan Singh Grover, you may have a conflict of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Under a new revision to the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use (see WP:PAY) paid editors are required to disclose that fact in regards to articles they are editing in return for compensation of any kind. You repeated edits to this article give the impression that you are in violation of this. Please address this issue before making any more edits to the article, or any others for which you have a conflict of interest. Reventtalk 20:16, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

August 2014

edit

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Karan Singh Grover while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of more than one account or IP address by one person. If this was not your intention, then please always remember to log in when editing. Editing the same article from both a logged in account, and an IP address, is considered to be an attempt to create a false consensus as to the appropriateness of those edits, and can be a violation of Wikipedia policies regarding sockpuppetry. While I cannot, of course, personally 'prove' that you are doing so, it seems to be a reasonable assumption, and continued edits to the article from both this IP address and the account that is making similar edits will result in a request for a sockpuppet investigation, with the possible result of both accounts being blocked. Reventtalk 20:22, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nikki2177. Thank you.

Request reason:

I edit warred as nkapoor21, I was trying to edit information that did not have reliable sources, but it was still counted as edit warring, then I used this account, but this account automatically get blocked due to nkapoor21, I have been suggested to appeal for unblock, I promise to not edit war, even if I disagree with something, and let the reviewers of wikipedia handle it on their own, regards

Decline reason:

I'm declining this request, but I think a Standard Offer approach could be taken here. I suggest you make a new unblock appeal early next year. PhilKnight (talk) 17:51, 4 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
