George Mackenzie/Richard Bright

Hi, I saw your question about Richard Bright going on an expedition with a George Mackenzie. This George Steuart Mackenzie was a chemist, geologist and antiquarian, looks like a notable man (entry in the ODNB). Born 1780, died 1848. Fellow of the Royal Society. No problem - the ODNB is a great resource for biographies of British people, and I have access with my local library membership.
