Welcome! edit

Hello, NicholeC, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi NicoleC thank you for being so kind as to serve as a demonstrative example in the class. You're a great sport and I too love Haim!!!

Alana Haim

  • I improved Haim to good article status some time back, for no real reason other than I stumbled across their cover of "Oh Well" and thought it was the best version of it since Fleetwood Mac's original, and thought "what the heck, at least it's different" and "is Este Haim trying to out-do Roger Waters in the 'play bass while making terrifying faces at the audience' stakes". It needs somebody to give it some spit and polish, and that might just be you. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 22:22, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Alana Haim edit

I saw your question on Adam's talk page regarding creating a new article. It looks like you figured out how shortly after leaving the message, but I wanted to follow up with you anyway. It was changed back to a redirect a little while later for "notability" reasons. Someone else left a comment along the same lines at the Haim talk page. Typically, a musician from a notable band would need coverage in reliable sources about them outside the context of the band. If you'd still like to write about Alana separately, I'd recommend working in your sandbox before recreating the article. It may help to conduct a search for sources specifically about Alana before you start, too. Hope this helps. --Ryan (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:05, 21 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ryan! Thanks for the information, I will definitely try to find reliable sources in order to help support the page in the future. April 20, 2017-- NicholeC

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:52, 20 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
