Collecting Edged Weapons of the Third Reich, Volume 6, 1993, by Thomas M. Johnson

Reading the original version of the Karl Diebitsch page, it states that "SS-Ober... Prof. Dr. Karl Diebitsch" was one of the pair who designed the Schutzstaffel uniform. Is this cited in the book Collecting Edged Weapons of the Third Reich, Volume 6, 1993, by Thomas M. Johnson. I'm hoping you have access to that book (my library doesn't) and can provide the citation (page number) and perhaps other details, where there's now a "citation needed" template on the following pages:

• Karl Diebitsch
• Hugo Boss#Involvement in World War II
• Allach (porcelain)#History (related to his work for them, not the SS uniforms)

I do not have the books anymore, I took photos of the pages that told about the life of Karl Diebitsch. I do have those photos saved and the page numbers are there too. I will have to look into adding a reference to suport the info about his work relating to the SS uniforms. I did find a reference to suport his work at Allach and I fixed that. I will do my best to make the articles better.

I think the info about his work on the SS uniforms is mentioned in: "The Allgemeine-SS By Robin Lumsden, Paul Hannon - 1993 - History - 48 pages", It is listed on Google Books but I am having trouble with the loading the pages of the book on my computer.Nicholasweed (talk) 14:36, 07 July 2009 (UTC)

I apologize for edit conflicting with you, it wasn't intentional. I wanted to make a point about sourcing that you added to the article. One you used is a Yahoo news source, which is fine except that Google and Yahoo news links and the like rot fairly quickly. It would be much better to use the same article reference from a more stable source, such as a major newspaper that archives its articles, or to archive the reference you're using with webarchive.org. It would also help to have the more complete reference for the sources such as "‘Squeaky’ had brief stay in S.J. , The Record Sunday, August 9, 2009 page A9." although it doesn't negate the source. thanks. That is okay, no problem. I just had to go back and readd the info. I undestand that the link probably will only last for a short time and become dead. I at least tried to state in the reference that what she said was originaly in a 35-line letter responding to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's interview request. That way if the Yahoo news link dies the reader could still try to contact the Fort Worth Star-Telegram to confirm the citation. I thought it was a good quote from her about her infamous action. I’ve mostly only added information about what happened in Stockton California in 1972 and thought it would be something I could add to another part of the article. I try to make the sources that I add infromation from be as complete a s possible. Anyone can contact the Stockton Record Newspaper to confirm the information. It would probably just be easier to go down to the Stockton Public Library and look throught the microfilm of the old newspapers.
