  • A very happy birth day to you. Last Sunday, I met Mr. Marcus [1] at Pondicherry and spent around 6 hours with him. He had all praises for you. I shall be in Mumbai for about two weeks from the evening of 9th December until 22 December, 2007. I shall be staying in CBD-Belapur in Bank of India's Management Development Institute. I am looking forward to meeting you :) I shall mail you my complete contact details including my telephone numbers/ room number, etc. Please don't disappoint me - let us meet in person. --Bhadani (talk) 15:18, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I always give crappy gifts. You're getting a wooden toy train this year. :-) Húsönd 17:55, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Belated birthday wishes, friend. I too met Marcus and he wondered how such a young user as you could contribute with such maturity. -- Sundar \talk \contribs 05:19, 12 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Nagalandseal.png) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Nagalandseal.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hey, I am a new user of Wiki and was not able to understand what was the meaning of "+" or "-" ratings given to various edits in my watchlist. Please explain.

Hello... here's a peer review edit

I have taken Sitakunda Upazila to Wikipedia:Peer review/Sitakunda Upazila/archive1, and so far recieved no comments, almost. Please, take a look, and be ruthless if you want. I have high hopes for the article. Aditya(talkcontribs) 15:21, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. Amartya has given it a very thorough review, which would be enough to keep me busy for at least a couple of days. If time permits, may be you could come back this Friday or something. It was nice to here from you in such a long time. Hope things are alright. Cheers. Aditya(talkcontribs) 14:10, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

User:Senang Hati edit

Hi, when I first started editing wikipedia, I used the username User:Senang Hati but requested a rename after policies were pointed out to me. You did the rename (17:10, 13 April 2007) [2]. User talk:Senang Hati still redirects to my talk page. The account seems to have been resurrected to troll me concerning some of my more recent edits about the notability of things like tv episodes and characters as well as Dungeons and Dragons articles. I have commented extensively on the current arbitration case: Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Episodes and characters mostly on the workshop page.

The new incarnation of User:Senang Hati is tagging articles that I originally created such as Senang Hati Foundation with clean-up tags and has now nominated it for deletion Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Senang Hati Foundation. I would appreciate your looking into this. Thanks, Jack Merridew 05:47, 20 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

addendum: This has all been sorted out and the resurrected account blocked and redirected to me. Cheers, Jack Merridew 07:32, 20 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

About your DYK's edit

Hey Nichalp, in your DYK's, on your User page, you mention Fairy Queen to be longest operating steam locomotive in the world but actually it is oldest operating steam locomotive in the world. Please correct it.

Merry Christmas edit

Wishing you the very best for the season - Guettarda 03:46, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Nicholas. I wish you Merry Christmas! I also recall with delight our discussion and interaction during our meeting at Mumbai on 16th December, 2007. The barista taste still lingers on :) along side multi-dimensional "discussion" which we had during our meeting. --Bhadani (talk) 04:17, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Asian Paints edit

An article that you have been involved in editing, Asian Paints, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Asian Paints. Thank you. --BJBot (talk) 03:39, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nichalp, See also User_talk:Ben_W_Bell#Asian_Paints. I am leaving this note on your page, since I am editing wikipedia only intermittently nowadays and may not be able to keep a close eye on this article, which I hope is restored/recreated. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 04:44, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'll just hijack this because I don't want to spam your talk page. Anyway, I speedied it because I was under the impression that there was only the copyrighted material; I didn't check the history, which I guess I should have, because that's only logical for pages that aren't newly created. So my sincere apology goes to you. I know, I don't need to apologize. On the bright side, this helps me grow as an editor, I hope. Also, do you think it would be acceptable if I start/help work on the article? I noticed some sources on List of Indian companies that look sturdy, and there are more on Ben W Bell's talk page. I'm sure if I took half an hour I could write something comprehensive about it, or at least make a stub for it so that others can contribute. Sound good? Cheers, Master of Puppets Care to share? 15:10, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Just to let you know, I didn't put it up for deletion because it was a copyvio. I didn't even know it was a copyvio until you brought it to my attention. I put it up at AfD because it read as an advertisement and had no references to back up its claims for notability. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 16:20, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Needed Assistance! edit

Hey,

  • I recently added a table to show annual climatic data of data on Delhi article but rather than proper discussion there was a string of revertions. I would like you to help me initiating a discussion on Talk:Delhi page. I created section to discuss the matter but no responses are to avail.
  • Another issue is to compare infoboxes of Delhi and Mumbai articles. There are disparities in them. Check Talk:Delhi page for details.
  • Ultimately, a request to help me expand National Capital Region (India) page.

Delhi-Mumbai Infoboxes edit

Well I am quite aware of differences between city, metropolis and metropolitan area. I guess you have not compared the data correctly, the data gives Delhi's city population to be greater than that of Mumbai. I am not talking about metro population but only city population. - Manik (talk) 16:31, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
