User talk pages
I have moved Talk:Miamomimi/Archive 1 to User talk:Miamomimi/Archive 1 & Talk:Miamomimi/Archive 2 to User talk:Miamomimi/Archive 2 and deleted the resultant redirects. I also fixed the links at the top of this page. User talk pages go under "User talk:" not "Talk:". Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. -- JLaTondre 15:20, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- The Talk: namespace is for talk pages associated with articles. The User talk: namespace is for talk pages associated with users. Orphaned Talk: pages (those for a deleted or non-existent article) are speedy deleted. As for fixing it yourself, you could not have deleted the resultant redirect caused by the move; only an admin could do that. You also do not own your user space. People will edit it if there is a problem; especially for something as trivial as this. -- JLaTondre 21:57, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- I never said I owned anything, but if I've made a mistake it's useful not only to have it pointed out, but sometimes aids or reinforces understanding if you make the correction yourself. It's simply more helpful to explain the error and allow the user the option to make the change. In this instance I now understand that I could not have made the change. Now you've explained it.
