hello edit

I am a co-editor for the Wikipedia:Meetup/Santa Fe/ArtAndFeminism 2016 event. However I shall not be in Santa Fe but in Sun City, Arizona. I will be available to help out on some wikipedia stuff because although I am a bit of a luddite I have also been an editor for over ten years and have seen a lot of what goes on here. Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself in advance,. Also I have started several articles in my user space, which show up on the list of articles needed on the project page as blue links. Please jump into any/all of them and add whatever you can. Particularly lacking is statements, with references, as to why those artists are notable. Otherwise feel free to edit anyway that strikes you, it's what volunteers get to do, and if you need help, let me know.
Also, if you put something, anything, on your user page then your user name will change into a blue link rather than being the red one that it is now. This suggests to others that you are not the dead end that red links suggest and that perhaps you are even a serious editor who intends to stay around. The "User Page" tab at the top left of this page will change color too. Consider it, Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 18:37, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

March 2016 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Florence Miller Pierce has been reverted.
Your edit here to Florence Miller Pierce was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://vimeo.com/98837002) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Herb Greene (Architect and Artist) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Herb Greene (Architect and Artist), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- RoySmith (talk) 02:38, 14 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Herb Greene Joyce House Oklahoma photo by Robert Alan Bowlby.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Herb Greene Joyce House Oklahoma photo by Robert Alan Bowlby.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 18:15, 25 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
