Jimi Hendrix edit

Hello Nescioooh, in response to your post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums, it appears you are trying to create some articles that already exist; see Isle of Wight (album) and Blue Wild Angel: Live at the Isle of Wight. You may want to see if these articles can be improved. Let me know if you need any help. I am putting a list of helpful links on your talk page, which should help you learn about using Wikipedia. Welcome aboard! --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 23:14, 15 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I didn't really take note that the CD is a completely different album from the LP. Does it have the same cover art, and is the title "Isle of Wight", or "Live Isle of Wight"? I am thinking this should be a new article, but if the titles are exactly the same, it could be misleading, because there is probably a CD edition with the LP's track listing. Assuming the word "Live" appears only in the latter album's title, that should help distinguish the two. When your article is completed, the other two existing articles should be modified to refer to it. Another thing: I notice you added the album to Jimi Hendrix posthumous discography but your change was removed by another user who probably thought it was a duplicate entry of the earlier album. You should probably let the other user know what you are doing, but wait until your new article is up before updating the discography again. Just thought of another question: since your CD appears to be kind of obscure (since it has been missing from Wikipedia up to now), is it possible it was only issued in a remote country? And are you sure it's really a Polydor release, and not a bootleg with a fake Polydor logo? One more thing: the post you made before said the album has previously unreleased tracks, "remixed and remastered" - which doesn't sound right (no "re-" if it's not a re-issue); I would suggest dropping that part of the description. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 13:19, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
